So why do I need this item? Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a cover that acts as a stand? This item is not something that can be easily carried around when I travel. Unless you need an extra charger, I see no real reason to buy this product. I can understand why many people returned this product, and now BB is reselling as a refurbished product.

I'll let my Mom stick with the cable to charge. It doesn't look like it works with a case.
