"Offer not valid for current 24 Hour Fitness members" I bought this before ($299 for 2 yr) and now approaching the end of the 2-year period, does this mean I can no longer purchase/use this certificate? How about quit the membership for a while (2 months)?

If you want access to Super sport you can get a similar pass for $600 for two years at a few select Costcos. I know they have it at the Culver City one, and I believe at the Los Feliz one as well. I got it as the only 24 Hour Fitness near me are Supers. They're nicer, and definitely have a bit less people, but it still is something of a scam that they make you get the pass for almost twice the cost.

No worries, renewals are painless, just wait until your current Costco membership is no longer valid, then walz into your club the next day with your new voucher and, bada-bing, you're a new member. I've done that several times (starting I think way back when the Costco deal was $199/2years), never been an issue. They also offer online voucher redemption, but I've never trusted that, they'll do it for you in the club in like 2 minutes.
