The guy in red is facing forward. They're non exact stick figures so they're just drawn that way.
I suppose its up for personal interpretation. If being drawn that way means the person is facing backwards, I can imagine what you must think is going on in the picture drawn in orange.

I actually used this die before. A couple asked me to attend in case orange came up, but since it didn't I just wound up sitting around for a while being bored.
