Sounds like only certain Target stores sell them - probably a region thing. The Targets around me in southern Connecticut don't sell car stereos (Trumbull, Milford, Stamford, Orange and Ansonia).

I found these in Columbus Ohio at the Polaris Target store.
Only 7 items under car stereo, just one head unit listed: Sony Xplod Full-DIN 52-Watts x 4 In-Dash... Sony CDXGT25MPW Sale Price $79.09 currently unavailable online not sold in stores
As mentioned in previous posts, not all Targets carry these. I was looking for a new one around 2010 and found some Target stores had car stereos, some did not.
