Love Myrtle. Just be careful w Spirit as they have some of the highest fees out there for luggage.

so very true! and as for Myrtle Beach...avoid it. it sucks here. the locals have to pay a sales tax to support business owners marketing fees..must be nice

They also charge a booking fee for every flight — the only way around it is to book at the ticket counter, but when you book at the ticket counter they charge you higher baggage fees.
They even charge $3 for water on the flight. And they have — by far — the most cramped seats of any airline I've ever flown. I made the mistake of flying Spirit once, and I will never make that mistake again.
Wow, it may cost more to fly your bag than it does you.

that's crazy. if you are going for a long weekend might be cheaper to just buy clothes when you get there and leave them behind before you leave

Problem solved. New problem created for security checkpoint though.
