When the Eagles released this music concert on DVD in 2005, I thought that it was one of the best discs ever made for this format in terms of image and sound quality. On 2/19/13, Rhino Records is releasing the BLURAY version of this concert. I really hope that it sets a new standard for Bluray concert videos!
I have seen it advertised for cheaper on other websites but I thought that if you could possibly use a $5 coupon from their their current DVD tradein promotion, it would save you some money.
I have NOT ordered this BD yet and was planning to get a tradein coupon this week to see if it was possible to use it. Even if it doesn't work, I have a BB gift card from their current recycling program that SHOULD work on this disc....
Perhaps other members of the FW forum know of a way to use the tradein coupon....
found out DVD upgrade coupons are only for IN STOCK BLURAY discs
"DVD Upgrade Details: Bring in your original DVD (no burned copies accepted) with the original case to Customer Service and receive a $5-off coupon valid on any Blu-ray movie priced $9.99 or more. Limit one coupon per Blu-ray purchase. Markdown taken from original price or promotional price. Your original DVD must have been commercially packed and with the original case. Adult content DVDs not accepted. Not valid with any other offer. Valid on in-stock Blu-ray movies only. No cash value. Offer valid through 2/2/13."
Yesterday, I went to a local Best Buy customer service desk to tradein a DVD and was given a $5 coupon. Next, I politely told them that I was interested in the Eagles Bluray which was on pre-order. Since the DVD coupon expires before the Bluray arrives, the rep wrote out and initialed a note stating that after I get the disc, I can show this coupon to them and they will still honor it for a $5 refund.
It was a nice gesture on their part and I hope it works....kudos to this rep....
Nice, long time coming to Blu-ray. DTS HD Master 5.1
Now I can retire my HD-DVD version that the sound was out of sync due to me being an early adopter of HD-DVD, and no firmware update for my HD-DVD player to "fix" it.. end of rant.

The Eagles concert Bluray arrived today from BestBuy.com. All I can say is WOW!!!! The music in Dolby 5.1HD is breathtaking and the razor-sharp images are stunning. Like their DVD setting the standard for concert videos, I think this disc will set a new standard for Blu-ray.....
