Still annoyed that they removed the crossword from both daily and Sunday editions on line a few months back. It's the main attraction for me.

99 cents too much. You can read it for free if you browse InPrivate Internet Explorer. I always block out their display ads, don't want to subsidize them.

You have to get a separate subscription to the crossword puzzle for $7 a month. That's on top of the regular subscription.

While not quite as bad as pirating media or software, private browsing to avoid the NYT firewall is basically stealing. They have decided to charge for reading more than 10 articles a month, and you should pay if you want to read more. If you like the paper and read it, pay for it.
I wouldn't pay a penny I found on the street for this rag. Just saying.

My solution to publications that I disagree with is just to ignore them, but I suppose your way works, too.
