You have to find a local FFL to ship to and transfer the firearm. They will charge you from $15 to $50+ depending on where you are located. Budsgunshop and Gunbroker.com both have FFL lists you can search.

In general FFL fee to the person that does the transfer ( Federal Firearms License ), Some states charge for a state background check fee, Some states charge tax on the sell price ( even if you bought it out of state )
The best thing to do is take a nra safety class, know your state laws and talk to your FFL. Before you ever order.
Always keep your guns and ammo locked up at all times.

What will you do if someone kicks down your door with a loaded gun in hand and your gun and ammo is locked up?

Great. Just great. Vance Outdoors does not sell to California. Thanks California!

You might want to set your alarm for early in the morning for a practice run to see just what are the difficulties waking from a dead sleep and having to go into action. Might want to have the weapon unloaded that first test.

Great price for a great gun. I had an XD9 3" and traded out to an XD40 3" and wish I'd gotten this price. Green for OP.

I ordered the XD9 Service from Vance. Only bad thing is they charge $49 for shipping (they will only ship overnight). However, it's still a great deal IMO. Thanks OP!

Butcherboy, you always say you think the XD is the best bang for the buck, but I don't think have ever said why. For example, why do you think it's better than the Sig Pro 2022? The 2022 has been $350.
People in this poll voted more for the Sig: http://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=459490 Though it could just be that the Sig is more popular because of the brand name, not necessarily better (like Apple). Possibly majority of the people voting have no experience with the XD?
I'm not trying to prove you wrong, just find the best gun around this price. So why is the Springfield XD better?
I'm looking for one for me, and one for my girlfriend. Shouldn't the XD, being striker fired, have a lighter pull than the Sig's first DA pull? The both seem to be about 5-7lbs.

1) First this is a very good in stock price for the times If you keep up on Gun and ammo prices of today you will know this is a good buy. 2) There is a lot more intrust here here on F/W for the XD, But I do post Sig deals too, I posted one today. http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals/1254946/ 3) Sig are good guns my cop friends carry Glocks or Sigs but there Sigs are in the $800+ range. 4) For me I just dont like the fit of a Sig. 5) To me the Springfield XD is the best bang for the buck, And for me only. I will also tell you the Rib Eye steak is the best cut of meat, But not all will agree with me.... 6) I like my XD about as much as my Glock but the XD is 20% less.

I think this is a good sign that they have few guns in stock - That possibly means that this hype is calming down a bit and hopefully ( keep fingers crossed ) things will go back to normal in a few weeks/months.. Am I too optimistic ?

Dammit, you're a butcher, we better agree with you if we want quality. That's almost like arguing with the Captain of the plane you're on. He's sitting in the left seat, while you're relaxing back in Coach. One knows the details better than the other.

I stopped by a WalMart today, and while my wife was looking for soap and such, I wandered past the ammo, thinking I'd pick up some if they had just stocked the shelf (it's looked 1/3 empty lately). Today, all 10 shelves in the glass cabinet were empty. EMPTY...except for some personal defense .410 shells and a couple of boxes of 12ga slugs. You would have thought that zombies were already roaming the streets.
A bit frightening...

Checked the Wally World here in space coast Florida and nada, like Logan said above. Dammit people, stop acting crazy you really don't need 10,000 rounds. I did pick up the essential pack 9 mm about 6 months ago for 369 and so far I like it as we'll as my glock
My WalMart guy said he didn't expect any 9mm for two weeks.

If I were to compare my h&k or Kimber to a sig then what would you say? Again it's a personal preference ie ford Chevy Toyota. Oh and I too like sig's.

So is the hand fitment the only thing you like about the Springfield XD over the Sig Pro 2022? The XD has a smaller grip doesn't it?
I think it'd be easier to decide which gun is overall better (goes on facts) than it'd be to decide what's the best tasting food item (goes on taste).

I dont like Decocker, Grip Or the cost of the magazines. But I post Sig deals for Sigs fans Sigs are very good guns.
When I have posted Glocks deals in the past, Some one has to say ( Sigs are better ) I have posted Toyota deal in the past Some one has to say ( Chevy are better )
Why not the Hk are better ?
To me Springfield XD 9mm are the best bang for the buck
i wasn't saying sigs are better than the xd or vice versa. just responding to slickone about the 2022. for a polymer gun i think the XDs are the best bang for the buck, unless you can find a nicely used glock. but the xd does offer quite a few more features than the glock. preference.
