Didn't see this posted so here goes. Got an email from MS offering FREE in person computer problem solving at their B&M locations - but NOT over the phone. The standard fee is $49 and up per incident. They have stores in 26 states, apparently usually located in malls. I couldn't figure out a way to transfer the contact info from the email so the best way to set up an appointment is probably to CLICK HERE for locations and numbers. Thinking I would have no use for the service I just filed it away JIC, but 3 days later I had an audio problem come up that I just could not fix on a 2 year old desktop, out of warranty. Called up, appointment 45 minutes later, they couldn't fix it quickly either so kept it for a day and not only solved the primary problem, but 2 other nagging hardware issues that I had given up on (Annoying, not debilitating). No charge. Various services offered are attached in images. You do not need to have received the email to be eligible - only have a PC with a problem. |
