Agreed. Their Creeper Special sale...is luke-warm at best.

You can get these on fleabay for $60 shipped.
BTW - this post sounds fishy and alerted moderator to check IP as this is blatant sales promotion.

I received the info above in an email from Foscam yesterday. Is it against the rules to post that? I have a couple of their cameras and am happy with them.
It's a $5 webcam with a $1 wifi chip... I have a Logitech C525 which runs about $40. I like it but it doesn't have some features such as pan/tilt or infrared LEDs which I'd look for with one of these devices. What webcam do you have?

I agree nothing wrong with posting this. I got this email as well. It even has the same typo. (says "FI9821W Black" twice. 2nd one is suppose to say white)
Interestingly enough, the "FI8921W pan/tilt HD camera bundle" and just the FI8921W are the same price before the coupon. $159.99 I was thinking of getting the bundle for the garage and outside where the reception may not be the best. It has better quality (1280 x 720 resolution) and SD card to record right on the camera. I was originally going to get the FI8910W as a baby monitor, but the debate with IR and babies being wishy washy I decided just to err on the safe side.

It's a $5 webcam with a $1 wifi chip...and a low power web server, and an ethernet port/chip, and servos for panning and tilting, and IR LEDs, and audio out, and a power supply.
The money you save by NOT leaving your power hungry computer running simply to keep your USB webcam online helps to cover and eclipse the price difference over time, and the smaller size lets you put these cameras in places that a webcam tethered to a computer simply can't go.
Reading some of the Amazon reviews there was significant distress amongst some about "fake" reviews though to be either posted by Foscam employees or as a result of encouragement of customers to do so by Foscam staff. There seems to be enough reports of Foscam technical support staff encouraging folks to post positive reviews to believe that. I don't really have a problem with that. At any rate, my point is there is significant chatter out there about Foscom shills so I'm not surprised to see comments like the one above from BPH789. I personally haven't seen a smoking gun so not convinced but clearly some are.

I first bought FI8909 three years ago that my wife/kids like it so much, so I bought two (may FI8919) last year. Recently, I bought one FI8910W and FI8905, now I could tell when my package is shipped. Each camera uses only about 5w without turning on the lights.

Because nothing says "I love you" like making a "home movie" The cameras have infrared LEDs, so you can keep the lights off!

BTW - this post sounds fishy and alerted moderator to check IP as this is blatant sales promotion. (a) The ones on fleabay are used, and always go for more than $70. Always. (b) THe body of text at the top of the post was an email I received from them yesterday. I added the little summary before the "-------"
I posted another deal on Foscams about 10 or so days ago when they were $10 cheaper than on this deal (it was a $69 sale on Amazon) and people went bonkers. $79 is only $10 more, and they're new and have a warranty. And they're not clones.

I have no experience with other IP wifi cams, so maybe they're better, but these suit my needs. And of the 3 I ordered, zero were from "foscam.us".

Just FYI, on the 8910s I have, you can manually turn off the IR LEDs and they stay off regardless of lighting conditions (if that's what you mean, not wanting IR light shining on baby).

For those interested, I uploaded an IPCam CGI guide, in the "Quick Summary" section. You can do some interesting things with the camera, using cgi commands in a browser. eg: Disabling the default DDNS update to ANxxxx.myfoscam.org
