ATT actually paid me a $1 for the phone.
Got it back in Mid-December. Called ATT and got price down to $199 from $299. Then told CSR that I heard it was on sale at Amazon for $99 or something. CSR pricematched that and waived shipping and upgrade fee.
Got phone 2 days later, and then called ATT back and told CSR that it lacked the accessories of other carriers. She then gave me another credit for $100, making the phone 'free' and giving me a $1 profit.
I was an existing customer, due for an upgrade, and on Unlimited plan.
The Samsung Note II was released this past October (for Sprint). There's no way the Note III will be out in February. I would assume their next logical step would be the Galaxy S IV (which is what I'm waiting for), since the Galaxy S III was released last July.
That being said, the Note II is an awesome phone. No such thing as too big. Take one look at that screen and you'll understand.

I guess we may find out next week at an international trade show starting Feb 24
