Used to love these old Sierra games! I didn't really get into the King's Quest series, however I enjoyed the RPG feel of Quest for Glory better. I might consider this deal, since this was Sierra's cornerstone series. Oh and case anyone was unaware, there is a remake of the remake of Leisure Suit Larry 1 game in the pipeline. I think the game will be available through Steam Greenlight when development is complete sometime early this year.

marsilies said: The pic in the summary is of Kings Quest 8, the only one not in this collection. Nobody likes KQ8 anyway.
The older games in the KQ collection are pretty low-fi in terms of graphics and sound, and the first few still use a text parser for a lot of the gameplay. Fans have made "VGA remakes" of these games so that they match the quality and point-and-click gameplay of the later entries. These are free to download and play.
You'd be better off going to Gog.com (Stands for "Good Old Games") and downloading them. On the right side of the page I linked, you'll see a button to buy the entire King's Quest series for $20.97... and unlike the disc at Amazon, Gog.com configures all their games to run on CURRENT operating systems and hardware.
FYI: They also have all the Space Quest, Police Quest, Quest for Glory, and Leisure Suit Larry games.
Stepping off the soapbox now.

I see those highly pixelated screenshots and start tearing up.

Oh man, I remember playing Kings Quest I and being stuck forever on the part where I was supposed to "pick up bowl". It took me months (and a purchase of the Invisiclues guide) before I figured that one out. The "bowl" looked like a rock, so I never found it.
