Full HD 1080p Resolution

seems like a large monitor to have a max res of only 1080. but obviously a lot less than a Dell 27" ips

If you have a 1080p video source (TV, gaming console) driving the display or are going to be sitting far away it might be fine at 27", but as a monitor I wouldn't recommend it.

Sharp text, white balance good, Great viewing angles as it is IPS. Could be brighter.
I would say at this price, there is not better monitor deal. Blows away the Samsung, but the Planar LCD not LED is brighter and just as colorful, just not IPS.
I recommend at this price. I would pick the Dell IPS as I like glossy, glass screens, but the lowest price is $279.

The more I use this monitor the more I like it. I am using it as a 2nd monitor on my 27" imac. and while not as awesome as the imac screen, it is still very crisp, clear text, vibrant colors. Movies also look great on it and minimal blur.
I am even liking its matte finish!
Gotta say, it is a great buy at this price and it is a limited time only.

I use a 27" 1080p monitor as my main monitor for work. I sit about 2.5' away and it is perfect.

How come Sams don't have this monitor on their website ?
