20% won't work if the clearance is already a coupon will it?

It has for me in the past. Didn't even think of that this time.

Is this price only for a demo version (as shown in the clearance tag) or will it ring up this price for a new sealed printer?

Did you have CSR scan the printer and it showed at full price?

nice pic of tag. most probably this price is for demo

I bought a demo unit for $82.50 less 20% yesterday...$66.00 + progressive taxation, $5.61, total $71.61.

Just picked one up. Damn FW. I don't need another printer.

I don't need another printer, but I bought it. Just like the OPs pic, I saved almost $10,000 on it. How can you pass that up? Staples in Citrus Heights (95610) had no new units, just the demo. When the toner's used up I'll prob sell it on.

I thought hard about this deal, but I eventually passed on it... even at $65. The reviews I've read are less than stellar, specifically around image quality. I already have an Epson Artisan inkjet (from Staples for $35) with a set of refillable cartridges. If I want duplex color docs then that fits the bill. But who among us really needs a mid-low quality duplexing color printer? Small businesses maybe, but not your average FW'er.

BTW a new set of cartridges for this Brother runs about $280 (gulp!) but a refill kit can be had for around $80.

I'm giving green for an interesting deal. Thanks OP.

Thank you!

I understand!

This is NOT duplex - not sure why OP claims so. Check Amazon reviews and spec elsewhere.

Ah I see the mistake - the OP has 3170CW specs confused for 3075CW specs - also the link to Staples is to wrong printer. Amazon link is correct.

this is demo model. not original general model. FYI

Indeed, errors fixed, thank you!

Was it a demo unit too, OR new in box ?

You posted to tell us that, WHY?

Just remember one thing about this price. This is for the demo model only. The brand new one in the box is still $200.50. I just price checked it at my local Staples.
