I agree, this is pretty much abandoned. No fully functional community ROMS past GB, as they all will have camera issues.

they end up on CowBoom, eBay and other markets where people don't care about what version android they're running or security issues
phones and many other electronics *can* be recycled but they may not be done under the most ideal processes. Lots of pollution in china and other 3rd world countries where electronics recycling takes place.
