Ive had great results using the TN-360 on my HL-2170W , and so far the toner(s) have lasted a long time once you do the tape trick .

That's the equivalent of putting tape over the check engine light on your car 's dashboard.

Does this brand of tn360 "reset" the counter so it doesn't keep signaling out of ink?

How to reset toner count:
First open the printer’s front panel, lifting the cover where you can access the toner. Next press the Clear/Back button. Doing so will pop out a dialogue box “REPLACE DRUM? 1.Yes 2.No” With the two options available do not type in either 1 or 2! Instead, type in *00 (asterisk+00) on the printer’s keypad and you should be rewarded with a prompt as “Accepted”. Now the last thing to do is to close the front door/panel, and allow your printer to initialize for a moment or so. If everything work out just fine, your toner counter is successfully reset.
