Decent find. I remember when these were sub 4 hundred and I think those days are good. Thanks for sharing and green to you.

Saigas are some great quality for the price.

It's an AK47?

same caliber, same/similar form factor, i guess you could call it a variant but an AK is Russian

Yeah, but I bet you'll need one before that.

btw, haven't found 7.62x39 ammo deal for a while. anyone has a good source?

I was in Cabelas yesterday and they had tons of 7.62x39 ammo at $5.99 a box.

It is actually only $4.99 on their website: 7.62x39 Herters Ammo

wish I had a Cabelas nearby...

Friendly FYI that these "AK" variants will NOT use hi-cap mags/drums and standard AK furniture without modifications.

Great advice, UPdownLOAD. Green for you.

I agree that these are WELL on their way down. The demand exhausted itself out.

This is the most basic variant of Saiga so it is the cheapest one. Full line is here: http://www.izhmash.ru/rus/product/saiga.shtml
This one is about $300 in Russia (they use different barrels) so $450 is still somewhat overpriced

For the money the saiga is a great deal.

I'm sure, if you bought one in Russia and tried to bring it to the U.S., after fines, lost wages, and legal fees, $450 would seem like an excellent price.
