This is definitely a case of you get what you pay for ...

$39.99 for *upto* 350 photos + $9.99 shipping ... 14c a scan (assuming you do 350 pictures) for low resolution scans isn't so hot a deal ...

* 35mm negative scanned at 1000DPI is only 1400x925 1.25 MegaPixel (suitable for 5x3 prints and thats before JPG compression)
* 4x6 print scanned at 300DPI is going to give you 2.16 MegaPixel image

The normal price at places like http://www.scancafe.com is 25c a scan, but at least they are 3000DPI (for negatives) or 600DPI (for
prints)
