Cost per roll is meaningless. If the roll has 50 sheets or 100 sheets is much more important. Manufacturers play games with size of rolls in order to gain the perception of good deals. In addition, the select a size adds to the confusion since 100 sheets of select a size is no different than 50 regular size sheets. You really have to look and analyze the above factors when viewing deals in bulk.

Actually, 2 select-a-size sheets is often about 10-15% MORE than a single sheet, and so consumers are forced with choosing between "not quite enough" and "a little too much."  The best possible choice from the marketing geniuses/fiends who created this little game is when  you first choose one sheet, and after realizing it's not enough, choose 2 sheets... thus actually using _3_ sheets, when one full size sheet might have been enough.  That way, you actually used about 60% MORE than you needed.
