In my opinion these sets are only good for the die hard fan. The transfers are pretty bad. The selection is worse. You'd be better off just buying the movies you care about and passing on this entirely. They "get you" by offering 200 movies for a reasonable price. What they don't say is, the majority if not all of these movies are public domain hence the low price.

Very true, Tequila. That's what I meant by "hardcore" horror fans. It's definitely a case of you getting what you pay for. A lot of these movies are probably public domain, like "Night of the Living Dead", or available on streaming services like Netflix.

But on the other hand, this is a great way to get introduced to a lot of horror films, some of them pretty obscure. And if you like what you see, you can always buy a better transfer - that's what I want to know with "Nosferatu".

My son-in-law must be a die hard fan cuz he loves these. Thanx

My favorite movie genre!

It's one of mine too. What are some of your favorites?

For me, there are many on this list I like, but Night Of The Living Dead has to be the best of them, in my opinion, it is interesting to see that the 2 guys who made the movie, split after that, couldn't agree, and they each made a series of movies.

The Living Dead series, and The Dead series.  (you know Dawn Of the Dead, Survival of The Dead)

Yeah, it was Romero and Russo, right? Romero did more famous movies like Dawn and Day of the Dead, which are straight-up zombie apocalypse films. Russo, on the other hand, did horror-comedies with the brain-eating variety of zombies in "Return of the Living Dead". It's also interesting that the film was copyrighted wrong, putting it in public domain, which is why it's probably included in this collection.

Personally, I have to give it up for Nosferatu. The rat-like Count Orlok is a far cry from the pretty vampires of today, and the silent film is just as scary as modern horror movies thanks to its expressionistic designs.
