For the ppl that will claim this is just a bunch cardboard, that's not true. You need specific lenses which are not easy to find and cost $10.

the only thing these are missing are the NFC tags

This may last longer, and is definitely easier on your eyes:

I built mine from scratch and I love it. It's great for movies, games, and photosphere viewing. When I show this to people everyone(except my wife) loves it too. My friend immediately ordered a kit after I showed him mine. A kit is definitely easier. For real immersion you want to use some headphones. For the basic cardboard app from Google nothing else is needed but a Bluetooth controller or a usb controller with an on the go adapter are nice extras for playing games. If you want to watch 3d movies you need to get them in hsbs format. hsbs = half side by side

anyone know if a note will fit in this thing? It doesn't look like it

weird thing is it says 4-7 inch. but could that be right? throw a 7" tablet in here?

I received mine in the mail yesterday and put it together this morning. The package said it came from china and I can tell it is a cheap counterfeit version of the Google Cardboard version found at https://cardboard.withgoogle.com/

The measurements are out of line with the tabs and it doesn't hold the magnets or lenses very securely. Very disappointed in my purchase. But I'll make it work with some doublesided sticky tape and maybe some superglue.

I can fit my Samsung Galaxy S4 in it and my iPhone 5 is too small and I'll need to secure it inside another way. But the S4 is very snug. It is an interesting "toy" to play around with though.

Take your pick, you get what you paid for: $2.99

$25:

There is no official version since Google just listed the spec and instructions for it, and any vendor can sell their own version.

Thanks for the above information. I didn't know this. I guess it's true what they say: "You Get What You Pay For".
