If you look at the first message in the thread you linked to, you will find a link to the new thread. That thread was locked due to sheer volume.

Yes, I know the story (or at least the relevant part of the story).

The originator of that thread, AdultMovieStar, has decided to leave FatWallet for good and headed over to Bargainshare. Apparently, he had a little attack of "childishness" before he left, and decided to delete all of the contents of the first message in that thread. Or maybe he wanted to make sure that the thread wouldn't stick around after it was out-of-date. I'm not really sure.

Anyhow, since the thread was useless at that point, the moderators decided to just delete the whole thread.
