Free shipping and $5 off at www.harborfreight.com orders of $39.99
#622-195-556 Expire Sept 1 2003 It did not seem to work on the web but did on the phone. BUT I think you can message the LIVE service and have them push it through
Also# 525-986-718 - $5 off $39.99 EXP Nov. 1 2003
Spend $39.99 and use #071-929-840 for free attache Exp 11/1/2003
same as above use #FS-776-243-861 for a free duffle bag item 46209- 1MHA Exp. 1/1 2004
Seeing that they charge a sneaky $5.95 "handling fee" the $5 off coupons help. The one that allows for the free shipping is a good one when you order heavy items.
Please do not post about the quality of their tools. They have great stuff from the quality for the occasional user to the name brands. You have to know how to shop HF. Check all their catalogs. Do no toss them out right away and you will see they change the prices up and down for the same item and in the catalog they will have one price but on the inside or back pages find the same item for less.
Sure there might be some lemons but htey take them back without a problem. I have used them for years.
spend $50 get $5.00 off + set of 3 pc. Tinner Snips. use code 292-243-236. it gives the discount and adds the snips to your cart for you. expires nov. 1 2006.

Here here. Granted, HF tools are of lesser quality then the bigger names such as snapon but they are also no where near the price. Honestly, I have found their tools to be of the same quality of the newer Sears Craftsman tools but for 1/4 of the price but as with any good deal its always buyer be ware.
Thanks for the 5off/free shipping coupon, I was looking for one so I can increase my tool collection.
Yes. The 'coupon' for the attache or duffel bag is not really a coupon. It is an item number that shows up with a $0 price. The free shipping and $5 are an actual coupon.
I am curious what would happen if you put a quantity greater than 1 on the duffel?
The item number for the attache is 35233-0abc.
Also, anyone gets free shipping if the order is over $50. So the coupon is only limited benefit. I have somewhere in my stack of catalogs Free Shipping coupons that DON'T say on orders over $39.99. Unfortunately the one on the catalog in my hands at the moment (#061-723-858) expired July 1, 2003.
I like their stuff but you're right. I have a PILE of catalogs from them. They don't label the months and I never write down when they came so they all mixed up..
BTW you can usually mix and match prices from multiple catalogs..

If you are ordering online, you can often play with the item numbers to get a better price. For instance, if the item number is 47156-1VGA, try changing the 1 in 1VGA to some other number 0-9 (duh). You'll need to add the item to your cart via the "Order From Printed Catalog" on the front page. Sometimes there are price differences based on the digit (different catalogs).
For instance, if you are looking for a basic OBD-II scanner (Reg. $49.99), try: 46030-0VGA - 49.99 46030-1VGA - 39.99 46030-3VGA - 36.99 46030-4VGA - 35.97
Although I have heard this particular idea before, let me stress that in my opinion it is one of the most useful tricks I ever learned from Fat Wallet!! I just (5 minutes ago) finished making a HArbor Freight order, and before I ordered I spent a few minutes punching all of my items in, deleting them from my cart, and trying again. I managed to save over 50% on about a third of the items!
Since my total was near $200, that is a nice chunk of saved cash!!
Some more points: 1) The coupons cannot be entered online. If you want to make an online order, you can call customer service after 48 hours and they can 'adjust' your order. I never bother - instead, I type up an online order, then print it out, and call the toll free number. ($5 off instantly is always better than an 'adjustment' 48 hours later!)
2) The coupons are NOT stackable - to me, the $5 off is better than a free attach or duffel - unless of course your order is less than $50. Then the free shipping coupon would be the better choice. All orders over $50 get free shipping.
3) As I said, I first typed up my order online. Just for the heck of it, I tried entering the attache and duffel item numbers. (35233-0abc for the attache, and 46209-1mha for the duffle.) It let me, even without the accompanying coupon. It even let me specify a higher quantity, with the price still apperaring as zero!! If you want to risk it, that might make it worth forgoing the $5 off in order to get 10 free duffles and 10 free attaches!
What I would really love is for someone to post a scan of their Inside Track newletter. Supposedly they put things in there that they don't offer regular customers, like small quantity items. I wasn't willing to invest $20 for a subscription to it. Maybe if they offered me a free sample issue!
ITC note: the list is not exclusive for ther regular items - usually just a different item designation with a lower number. IIRC, they won't be purchasable in your online cart w/o an ITC login. My first yearly membership lasted about 3 years before they made me sign up again. I originally signed up over the phone, 'cause two of the regular items I was going to purchace were "on sale" for ITC members so I saved about $3 net on the order. Of course, you just get more catalogs.
Also, I've found that regularly priced items at HFT are about the same cost for comparable quality at HD/Lowes, with some minor exceptions. If you're a bargain shopper, though, their sales can net some good savings. The house brands - fine chinese made brands with monikers following the "American City"-"Classification of Tool" pattern, such as ChicagoElectric - aren't worth their full price but are usually on sale and inexpensively flesh out the "occasional craftsman's" toolbox
Thanks to the OP for the codes - I usually lose mine by the time a cobble together $50 worth of stuff I need to place an order w/ free shipping.
Anyoen have a Harbor Freight catalog sitting around? I got one in the apst few weeks with free shipping code and the $10 Rotary tool kit (chinese Dremel knock-off). If you've got that catalog, could you post the free shipping/catalog code, and rotary tool catalog number? thanks..
