I live 5 blks from the store. It's really nice to go in there and shop. They even have clearance
sales outside occasionally with really deep discounts.

I've known the guys and gals at the store for years but they treat everyone pretty much the same.

If you have a problem they take care of you. There are only a few times they wont. And I'll
mention them to show you how dumb some people can be.

1. Someone will buy a small bolt cutter that specifically says "not for hardened metal".. but
they try to cut a 1/2" thick hardened metal lock off. There's a groove in the blade that looks
like a 1/2 moon and they want their money back. I've used thier bolt cutters for years with
no major problems. But if you want to cut off a lock then you have to pay $120 for 'real lock cutters'.

2. Someone will buy a sprayer and use it. Paint all over it and they simply want to return it.
I don't think this flies well. Nothing wrong with it. And if they said there was they would
get a new one. But they try to return it for money. I've seen the store go so far as to
give store credit one time. Not sure why. The guy was nice I think and they simply took care
of him.

3. xxxx -- that's it.

Otherwise I've never had a problem ever. Even returned a credit card boughtitem once and did
not have my cc with me. They asked me if I was going to buy anything that day and I was.
They gave me Cash Back against the $30 I bought originally against the $10 I spent that day.
They probably lost 3% on the difference. And made $4 on the $10 they sold me! : )

They are doing what HDepot has been wanting to do. They have direct access to plants in China and
Pakistan and India. I would definantly jump on HF stock if they ever go public.

I have not seen a free ship coupon in months. I stopped buying from HF because of that. The prices are good, quality acceptable, but paying freight is a deal killer. If they want me back, they need to reinstate the free freight offer.
