For those socket sets for your car, try Costco Stanley set that was mentioned here previously. I think they were down to $10. I Bought several for gifts. Quality very good - the primo Taiwan stuff rather than the "up and coming" Chinese.

one more thing to remember is that if you have a HF in your area the b&m stores pm web prices. so if you can find the item you want and it is cheaper online, definately print it out and take it in.

I just placed an order and because I couldn't get the online ordering to accept a cheaper price from my catalog (even using "order from printed catalog")I had to call customer service. They found the cheaper price and used it.

Still better, when they offered me the inside track which I always have refused, I asked if it would make any of my choices cheaper. Right away I saved $25 which is $5 more than the inside track cost. Try it next time.

Saved an additional $25!! Man, you must be purchasing some serious stuff for them to discount something an additional $25. I usually use HF to purchase odd-sized sockets, wrenches, clamps etc, things that would cost a fortune buying from the local stores but are dirt cheap on HF.

In any event, thanks a lot for pointing out that lower prices are obtainable thru' CS if you quote the appropriate Catalog numbers. I do have a few catalog numbers (with lower prices) from a few weeks back when their system was still "riggable". I'll give it a shot by calling CS. Thanks much for pointing that out.

Yes that 3 day trial link was perfect, just print out the page and bring it to the store, they match the price and THEN you use a coupon.
