Luber said: Not too many riddles on here any more...actually, if I had checked here first I would have saved even more with the codes above...but I like the riddles. Here's one I found in the Gift Express 2001 catalog:
"Opened in 1894, construction of this 19th century landmark consumed the entire world's supply of the rare stone mined nearby. Name the building and the stone and earn $2.95 shipping with keycode AEG11." The construction of the CO state capitol used all the Colorado Rose Onyx in the world!
Tested it just now; they even have it automated; a computer judges the answer I suppose. It's no longer $0 . Also funny that they put a keycode in there that's different than the one on the back of the catalog. Should be easier to scan the item descriptions for "2.95" and a keycode than "free"...
I think all of us who used to post riddle answers quit because no one seemed to be using them. STP was offering free shipping through DealFlyer codes, so the riddles became superfluous...
Does anyone have a better answer to the $2.95 shipping riddle "This squash provides Autumn treats and shrieks. Name the squash and enter the keycode HDG211...". My guess is pumpkin, but that seems to easy. Thanks
