O F F I C E ~ D E P O T ~ B&M (store) coupons The following list was provided by the efforts of ODcode293 "Apologies in advance for not taking the time to find & acknowledge all OPs & fellow FW'ers in various threads who first posted any data below to FW" said ODcode293
PRINTABLES
[Promo (print) FYI: Many of these print promos are only available to those signing-up for O.D.'s snail-mail mailing list, being a member of Advantage "loyalty program", etc. Some print promos are also available at O.D. B&M locations.
(note: O.D. typically offers multiple 8-digit coupon codes on the same item by printing different coupon codes of the same print promo for different target audience. So, even if one coupon code for a specific item is listed on FW, it is likely other codes for the same item have yet to appear on FW. (e.g.: $20 off $75; Buy $50, Free item; B1G1F; etc. 8-digit codes))
O.D. print promos now/in near future: "The School Book" catalog print promo ($$ off code, etc.); Monthly catalog print promo ($50/$100 freebie code, etc.); Monthly flyer print promo ($$ off B&M coupon, etc.) (reminder: sign-up [Exp 2/5] to receive these print promos; O.D. often issues multiple 8-digit codes on same promo for different target audience)
SKU Numbers
Add "750" to SKU to trigger a discounted price (approx. 10% off) or "buy more and save" option (approx. 5-10% off with volume) on select items from "Big Book catalog". [Exp 12/31]
Add "957" to SKU for savings on select items from "12/2 catalog". (between 5-25% off; avg. 10% off) (e.g.: instead of 348-037 for O.D. Red Top copy paper, use SKU 957-348-037 for a discounted price) [Exp 01/11/2005]

O f f i c e D e p o t 's F A Q
I am totally lost. What does B&M,A/R,GC mean?
They are acronyms used at FW, a complete list with definitions can be found HERE
Tracysbeans said: " What I do is go to OfficeDepot.com and then add something to my cart and go to the checkout. I add the coupon and get it to apply and then once it applies I print the screen. The print out will then show the coupon code that Office Depot then types in on their register. I hope this helps! I live across the street from OD so I rather just shop there instead of ordering and having them bring it to me. Seems kinda silly to get home delivery when I'm across the street from them.
MCnDaHousesaid: I've never had them ask for the coupon. As long as the order goes through they just pull it from the shelves and have me sign the invoice. The order is already paid for so they don't care.
What's the strange wording in the coupon code description?
ODcode293 answered Many cryptic text found in coupon code description can be ignored. (e.g.: "DM CUST": Generic term for "direct mail customer" -- monthly snail mail mailing list flyer promo, target audience: Customer; "Prospect (catalog # and page #)": Generic term for monthly snail mail mailing list catalog promo, target audience: Prospect)
What's important with all coupons is the restriction, which is listed in the coupon source. (e.g.: furniture only, item specific, etc.) Other restrictions like 'no tech' 'no GC', 'no postage stamp', 'no prepaid cellphone card', etc. are pretty much applicable on all $$ off coupons, nowadays. (unless 'coupon code mistake')
"Customer", "Prospect", etc. What's that?
ODcode293 answered Mailing list target audience profile. (e.g.: Customer could mean 'has made purchases recently or in recent past'; Prospect could mean 'has not made any purchase') One method to gauge the effectiveness of a given promo is by narrowing the mailing list into smaller sub-groups. (but 'FW effect' will often skew the results (e.g.: freebie item pulled prematurely))
What's important is that there's often multiple coupon codes issued for the same promo offer. (e.g.: e-mail mailing list promo, snail mail mailing list promo, Advantage member promo, etc.) Until O.D. begins "use once and discard" policy, FW'ers should continue posting all working 8-digit coupon codes. ("use once per account")
The following was a posted message by ODcode293
"Replies to PM. (apologies for not being timely) For future reference: when PM'ing, please do not expect a prompt reply. (all Q's are paraphrased)" said ODcode293
Q: Can I use a coupon code for tech?
A: (short) No. From thread FAQ: "What's important with all coupons is the restriction, which is listed in the coupon source. ... Other restrictions like 'no tech'... are pretty much applicable on all $$ off coupons, nowadays. (unless 'coupon code mistake')"
A: (long) Yes, but YMMV. Availability of 'coupon code mistake' can be confirmed by trying all known working codes listed in the thread. However, historically speaking, when a fellow FW'er posts something like 'this code works on tech', O.D. will quickly close that loophole (example). The only sure way to prolong a working 'coupon code mistake' is to be 'selfish' by not publically releasing such info, if one is found. Because the confirmation process can be done by anyone and fellow FW'ers traditionally have posted valid coupon codes as it became known, any 'lazy' requests will likely be ignored. (read: using specific SKU(s), if you've put in the effort and found no results, chances are high that others will yield the same conclusion)
A: (B&M will-call) Taking advantage of a 'coupon code mistake' is already YMMV and placing an online order for B&M will-call will make matters more difficult. (read: many online coupon codes are only valid for delivery)
Q: Provided that my local B&M accepts an online order using a 'for delivery only' coupon code for B&M will-call, what coupon proof could I offer?
A: Since this is YMMV, required 'proof' will vary from store manager to store manager. Thread FAQ "How to get the coupon printout?" has a few examples. In the past (circa 2004), fellow FW'ers reported that using URLs like these ($10, $20, $30 off) were sufficient. No go, if the local store manager requires a 'coupon page' with coupon code listed in the actual promo. (most/all online/e-mail promos nowadays have info similar to URL above and 'click here' URL only adds a coupon code to the shopping cart (read: no 'coupon page')) YMMV, when coupon code is actually a 'coupon code mistake'. (e.g.: buying an item that is in the coupon restriction, like tech)

Yes that would be helpful - went in today to do a pick up (ordered online - chose Cash option) and manager would not honor the $30 off $150 online coupon. He told me to either give him a physical coupon or buy it again and prepay online. THAT is just silly!

Actually I was able to stack the free bags coupon and $20 off $100, but the total was over $150. Apparently the free bags coupon takes off $50 (even if the bags are $64.99). You can see this in the message that pops up saying that "Coupon [$xxoff] cannot be applied since your total is $yyy". Just add $yyy worth of stuff and place the order. It should work.
In the interest of full disclosure, I have to say that I got to the last step of placing the order (i.e. after coupon validation) and the confirmation page showed both discounts ($20 and $64.99 for the bags) but cancelled, so there is a slight chance there might be problems afterwards.

I just ordered a room full of office furnitures and used all of the coupons listed. Each coupon is one time use only. I was able to combine the $off and the freebie coupon. However some freebie coupon requires some kind of purchase (such as the Coby DVD player will not go with the furniture). That is why the minimum requirment for the purchase not met appeared. I still need a few more new coupons. Probably wait till the new one come out. The 10% of $50 or more work well if each of your single item is greater than $30 and you can have several items in one oder to use this coupon.
Certain items don't count toward the $175, namely "technology" products like hard drives, routers, etc. so your "total" isn't really the total you see.

a $30 off $150 did work for me once...I requested them to just try the code ... this was for the Tungsten C PDA. I added the coupon to the cart (empty cart) then click on view cart and then print the page which says 'store pickup' on the left had top corner and shows coupon info. It does not talk about coupon is valid instore or not...just says $30 off $150....... I told the manager that this coupon works for store pickup... he asked the employee to try it and it worked! but not all of them work..

Yes. If you have a free item for $50 purchase and an $ $ off for $100 purchase, you'll need to buy $150 in total to qualify for both bonuses.

I think the dollar off coupon, that you have in your cart, may be used only on non-technology items only and you may have only $18.90 worth of non-technology items in your cart.

Will Office Depot honoer the Staples $20/$100 coupon. If so do you have to go to the store or can you do it online.
Go to OD's website. Click on the "TECHNOLOGY" tab. What do you see? PRINTERS.
Terms and conditions defines 'technology items' as shown below
Excludes select technology purchases including (but not limited to) configure-to-order computers, networking products, memory, and data storage drives. Not valid on purchases of Business Solution Center services, Microsoft bCentral and Partner Services, Global Customized Chairs, postage, gift cards, or products purchased from the Office Depot Print Center, Cellmania Wireless Center, or the Office Depot Website Design Center

Has anyone figured out of there is a way to "stack" OD coupons? When I try and add more than one, it deducts from my total purchase. But there is no apparent method as a free $89 coupon may only take $20 away from the total where a $29 free coupon may take as much as $100 off the total.

According to the latest coupon I received via email, the OD coupon "Excludes all paper and technology purchases including (but not limited to) configure-to-order computers, desktop computers, notebook/laptop computers, fax machines, monitors, LCD projectors, printers, all-in-one machines, copiers, scanners, networking products, memory, PDAs, and digital cameras."

QS updated. (I also corrected some errors in my previous post...)
More codes. All taken from other deal sites, so no primary source info. (but fellow FW'ers credited, whenever applicable)
Added/corrected the following entries.
Found the B&M printable coupon URL at a deal site but since I am currently unable to find the primary source and FW's rules on non-primary source coupons, perhaps a fellow FW'er might be able to locate an acceptable primary source. [note: there's enough data in this post to find the deal site thread (one verified technique); all PM requests regarding this FYI will likely be ignored]
ad text: "Gifts that mean business. During the holidays, you take care of business, we take care of you!"
coupon text: "Business Services Group Customer Appreciation Event! December 4th-9th, 2005 for employees of buesiness services group customers. 15% off your next in-store purchase."
coupon restriction: In-store only. Typical restrictions found on all B&M coupons like no tech, GCs, pre-paid cellphone, mailing/shipping service.
Thanks Nemesis22 was able to use the coupon on a digital camera. The manager did an override which just knocked 150 off of the price of a digital rebel. So the Business coupon does not work on cameras unless an override but what a deal I got on a Rebel 590 after rebates
Nemisis said: Customer Appreciation Event for Business Services Group employees, 15% off 12/4 - 12/9 only! http://www.billyarredondo.com/074-05_Holiday_Coupon_v3.pdf
And Karnivor sid correctly "Word of caution, this coupon won't work with any technology items."
But its YMMV and I did ok Prinited out coupon on heavy card stock with a color laser printer.

Updated QS. (added codes, added additional freebie items to existing codes and deleted Exp'd codes)
All new codes orig. from non-primary sources. (but fellow FW'er credited whenever appropriate)
OT:
Reply to PM. (paraphrased)
Q: Please send me a copy of e-mail mailing list promo. (e.g.: $$ off coupon)
A: Begging is over here. Possible coupon (.pdf) [Exp 12/31]. To answer specifically, I do not have any e-mail copy to give (i.e.: "can't" not "won't"), but others listed in this thread might be more accommodating. Anyone wishing to avoid this begging situation in the future should sign up for the mailing list. (e.g.: start ordering catalogs, place delivery orders, etc. on a regular basis) PM'ing the OP may yield some insight on other sign up strategy(ies?). Otherwise, this type of question has previously been answered (11/27 post).
(repeat of 11/27 post) Q: Provided that my local B&M accepts an online order using a 'for delivery only' coupon code for B&M will-call, what coupon proof could I offer?
Thank you FW for posting coupon codes! Keep 'em coming!
