Here's a list of sites frequently mentioned on FW that offer deeply-discounted magazine subscriptions. Be sure to check all of them, as prices and selection can vary from one vendor to the next.

Additions welcome!

FWIW, I personally try ALWAYS to use a one-time-use credit card number when placing magazine orders from these companies. I've never had any problems with security or overcharges (or unfilled subscription orders), but better safe than sorry.

I buy from them often.

Also, eBay has some ultra-cheap prices. Enter the words MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTION in their search engine and it will pull thousands of current subscription offers. As always, you should review the seller's feedback rating and comments before placing a bid on eBay. If the seller has a high feedback rating (500+), with more than 99% of the ratings being positive, it's likely that you're dealing with an honest person.

I like bestdealmagazines.com because you can usually go through Ebates and find some coupons AND get cashback. Seriously discounted.

My experience with magazine subscriptions on eBay has not been positive.

Many of these "fulfillment" companies offer the subscriptions at ridiculously low prices. They tell you to expect the magazines to arrive anywhere from 8-12 weeks, much too long a period to leave any feedback. I believe once these guys start getting behind in filling orders (and start getting negative feedback), they abandon their old name and start establishing a new name.

I have purchased about a dozen magazines, and gotten about half. I do not buy mag subscriptions on eBay anymore. There are too many free magazine subscriptions (see Free Stuff Forum) to have to pay. (Kinda of like porn!)

THANKS!!

Just got 5 mags for $23.15 minus 10% from Ebates = $20.83 ($4.16 per mag or $0.34 per issue!!!)

bestdealmagazines rules!

DO NOT ORDER FROM BESTDEALMAGAZINES. They have SUED a member of a similar deals forum for complaining about their service! Do YOU want to risk facing the costs of defending a frivolous lawsuit if you ever report problems with them?

I really dig this site(www.amagarea.com) to help find the best price on magazines as well. The prices are great and most of the time they will include coupons in calculating the best price.

For books I typically use Addall which has similar functionality. I believe it searches 30+ book sites for the best deal.

overstock.com sometimes has good prices on mags, I've seen National Geographic for under $15. You have to look under books.

WOW! I used www.amagarea.com to find a PC Magazine subscription - 3 years for $29.91! Thanks, OP and Keydaddy!

If auction site counts, I would do an eBay search before go to any of these sites. I got a 4-year subscrition of Reader's Digest for $13, here. You get it right, it is a 4 years subscription.

BTW, I am not relate to the seller by any means, nor I am posting an AD. I just wanted to share this method of saving to all of your FWers.

You can do a search like "Reader' Digiest Subscription" on eBay and check out the Buy It Now auctions. Normally they are much cheaper than the deals some webiste offer. Of course, you can't beat free deals from FreeBizMagazine.com and such.

Anyone every see a deal on the Economist let me know. The cheapest I see it anywhere is $77 a year. Great magazine. Much better and more detailed than Time or Newsweek.

No problems with magazinevalues. com.
I just ordered a bunch from budgetmags.com, they had the cheapest prices. I will follow up to see if I get any of the 5 I ordered- the site says 12 to 14 weeks to start.

Also Netmagazines. You can pick up to 5 magazines (of 100 selections) for $30 and apply coupon code: THANKYOU441 to get additional 20% off.

What's up with this place. If you look at the feedback reviewers, there are multiple feedbacks from the same user for the same order id number.

I am pretty sure that I am getting ripped off on a subscription deal I got on eBay. The guy had around 500+ feedbacks, but now, he's selling nothing. Hmmm looks like he may have moved on and set up shop under a new name/local. Of course, ebay, paypal and no body else will do ANYTHING because 1. It was less than $25, and 2. It was more than 30 days ago! Of course says in the auction it takes 8 to 12 weeks! So you are well out of the range to figure out something's up. I guess the guy ripping off 500 people at 10 bucks a whack is going to get away with it. Pretty smart slimeball. Hope he gets caught by someone!!

I bought some last year that was mainly for postal service employees. As I recall it gave a good discount and good service, now I can't find that post here on FW. :<

Live and learn.

Did anyone ever find a deal on THE ECONOMIST?

I have a New Year's Resolution to stay informed this year...

Thanks!

I got ripped off with magazine subscriptions with Rbay a couple of times.

I ordered a bunch of stuff from Best Deal Magazine last year. I went to the site today, and the deeply discounted selecction is so much worse than before! Architecture Digest is now $24 instead of the $5 - $10 before! I like best deal magazine b/c I can pay via paypal.

Maybe they will sue you next.

Aren`t there lawyers out there that will sue these clowns with no fee, just the money they would win with a harrassment lawsuit. There are SOME honest lawyers.

Budgetmags.com was cheapest for me after comparing. But the comparison website amagarea.com wasn't that great. Did not have all the discount magazine sites on there.

Yes there are, and if you ever ventured into the finance forum, you would know that I happen to be one of them. I cant believe the conduct of this company. They should be avoided.

Never received 2 magazines I ordered 5 months ago from NetMagazines.com. Too late to dispute with either PayPal or credit card. Total loss $25. NBD but just a warning. I filed a complaint on their website (no way to email or phone them, the phone number is just voicemail and and emails get returned with a message to file the request online) it gets marked "closed internally" with no response.

I had only one experience with them and I am completely satisfied. I had ordered a magazine which also came with a free Kiplinger subscription. The magazine had a 3 month period within which I could cancel if I changed my mind. The magazine was fine but I wasn't fnding the time to read it so I cancelled. I was refunded the total amount and still received my free subscription. Did you try emailing Casey at casey_cs@netmagazines.com?

I ordered from them twice last year and was very happy with their service. The prices were much lower than I could find anywhere else and the magazines arrived more quickly than I expected.

Always remember to check for FatCash.

Magazines.com has 21% FatCash. Anyone with a coupon code for them?
