I paid about $125 last year, minus a $25 rebate much like this one. I got the $25 check in the mail in a reasonable amount of time also.

This looks to be a coupon and not a rebate. Any other opinions?

It's a coupon.

Coupon must be presented prior to completion of iniital tax office interview.

Coupon may not be used for electronic filing, amended return, etc.

Last year's H&R deal was better. $25 Target gift card + $10 printable coupon!

just go to H&R's website and file your taxes for free if you earn $35k or less.

Thanks OP! I will be utilizing this coupon.

Anyone know how much it would be for a new grad, so simple single income, nothing special.

darn, i only got $15 dollar discount but hey it's something. last year it was only $70 but this year after discount was$114. im gonna hae to learn how to do my taxes myself.

Answer: if your income is under $35k, you can file for free

IRS Free E-File (certain restrictions required)

I'm a new grad as well. Just did my tax return on H&R Blocks site. If you make 35k or less its free for the Federal one. If you need to do a State one as well its $20 bucks. It was pretty easy, I'll be getting a refund of around $850 this year. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif"border=0>

Under the refund option it says apply "0" .. Does that mean to get the full refund?

Thanks. Know a few coworkers that hate to do their taxes.

Good Find. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

this would be really hot if it was for online...would make it almost free <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

do it with H&R Block's tax software. it's simple and easy.

sweet thanks! i received one of these in the mail but i need two (one for me and one for my fiancee). thanks a lot OP!

most people won't be able to use this....

They do electric filing for almost everyone, and the coupon says "May not be used for electronic filing"

I'll stick to my TurboTax. Last year, I owed money, even though I didn't withhold any taxes. I ain't about to pay for owing money <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif"border=0>

Thank OP !!!!!!!! Right on time <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Not bad... H & R is usually over priced anyway. I offer some similar services that H & R does (ie E-File, Refund Anticipation Loan [24hr], Refund Anticipation Check [2 week]) but I give anywhere from 10-30 discounts to my repeat customers anyway. I tend to be cheaper than them so my deal to my customers can be slightly hotter compared to my prices. heh. Oh well... this coupon will just bring me less customers this year.

Sadly I had a friend join the competition and now works for H & R. I should stand outside H & R Block and sell these for $10 a piece just to piss them off. LOL.

Tis can still be used. It can only be applied to the cost of the "PREPERATION of an original tax return"(according to the coupon). electronic filing is something seperate from your tax preperation

Thanks OP, great find!!!

Thanks Jersey!

Just used the coupon today, no waiting in line. And even the tax specialist who helped me wanted to copy to coupon! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>
He said he wanted to give it to his friend.

Again, thanks OP!

We're sorry, you are not authorized to view this page. Please try searching for a related topic at www.hrblock.com.

guys,

anybody has a copy of the print out and can scan or atleast point to the right link at hrblock.com

thanks

use google cache...

try www.taxact.com, you can file your tax returns for 9.95 and it is very good service compared to H&R Block.

Bump for procrastinators.. And my personal props to turbotax (free if you are under 22 or over 65.. www.taxfreedom.com ) (I tried Tax Slayer, Turbotax (Taxfreedom) and H&R online.. Turbotax is by far the best.) H&R is a close second. Slayer is pathetic.
