<< I see 249.99 - Dell discount (24.99)- 70.00 rebate = discount of 94.99. That makes this drive 155.99, how do you get 129.00. >>
Because you are probably looking at the Dell Home section. Go to Dell Small Business. Try this link.

Can we use FatCash? The plus is it's a retail drive and comes with ATA card. The minus is that it's still 1 year warranty most likely, and Dell SB charges state sales tax.

On the phone w/ a Dell CSR. They said it was a price mistake and could only give it to me for $227. I said no. He checked w/ his manager and finally gave it to me for $199.96. The CSR was relentless in trying to get me to buy something else. Don't know what's up with that...
With 6% Sales tax and FatCash, it comes out to $137.19 for me. That's $0.55/GB. Doesn't seem to be subtracting 20% off even if you do or don't go through FatCash link. I think I'll let the FW effect force them to correct the online problem, then place the order via FatCash link. Got burned the last time out of $40 on two orders when they canceled my order for no reason and had to call in. Remember, any phone contact with Dell CSR with negate the FatCash. Good deal though, thanks OP!
The rebate form that is linked on the order page is for purchases through 11/28/03, while the Dell text describing the rebate states that the rebate is good from 1/26/04 through 2/27/04. I expect that the rebate form will be updated soon.
Still showing $199.96 on the actual product page for me, but when I add it to the cart, shows as $249.95. I'm saving the pages now, gonna check it out and possibly order one for the Xbox...
