Quote by Gr1m: To find out who made yours, simply look at the numbers below and to the left of the Part Number. If it reads 5395 6040 then you have Ricoh...if it is anything else then you are probably stuck with CMC.

The coupons stacked, but the price is 89.99, not 79.99.
This media isnt very good according to the reviews at dvdrhelp.com
Sorry if I wasn't clear before, the deal starts Sunday(3/14). I'm not sure when OD updates their prices. I bought some +R 25pk a few months ago and they were ricohjpn01, hopefully the 50pk are the same. I heard that the -R are compatible with more DVD players, but my +R writer can burn DVD+R as a DVD-ROM (Bit setting) so it plays in an older DVD player that the -R didn't play on.

What if i use +r for movie, any bad? BTW: I alway use +r. Some movies I burnt when played on my panasonic dvd player have unstable picture. But my computer play them fine. Is this because of +r or dvd area code incompatible?

That because the media that you used was maybe unreliable.
I've been backing up 300+ DVDs using DVD+R. I only use name brands, like: TDK, Memorex & Fuji
Choosing the correct format for video purposes depends on your DVD player Here's a couple of links to help, for instance playing back movies on an XBOX requires +R Hope this helps!
Check out the database at dvdrhelp.com if you want to know if + of - is better. The answer is: it depends!
For example: my lite-on (in my PC) is *supposed* to be +/- for burning, but can't do any better than 2X with -r. So I use +r when burning from that drive. My older Pioneer (in my Mac) cranks out -r at full speed, so it gets the -r discs.
Plus, if I'm burning a *home* movie (of the kids for their grandparents ) and my dad's old Toshiba chokes on +r's I make sure to burn on -r's when they go to him...
Check to see what your playback machine likes and what your burner can (truly) burn on.
Everyone CALM down, just order it now. OD has a pricematch policy, so call them back tomorrow to get another $10 off I just ordered mine for $75.74. I will call back to get another $10 off.

Thanks! Would you know if we can reuse coupons. I want to get on the FAR deals too. Any risk in calling them (regards to coupons being stacked?)
memorex 4X DVD+R is both ricoh and CMC. luck of the draw which one you get.

I just bought a NEC 2500A from Newegg and it burns this RICOHJPN media at 6x. If you want to get a great deal , buy the 4x DVD+R's. I got 50 from Staples for $.80/each and then another 100 from Amazon for $85!! I am clueless as to why memorex is trying to offload these for so cheap!
It took two weeks but my two 50 dvd-r spindles arrived today with B1G1 & $20 coupon applied. Not really expecting these to come through, I had already ordered 100 disk spindle of generic 4X Memorex at ~$.60/ea. which have been burning flawlessly with my NEC-ND2500A. Hope I can burn the OD disks at 6X...
