Great thread. The last discount code I got from them was on 11/2 and expired 12 days later (small window)! Their service is top notch, and they respond quickly to problems such as inaccurate listings. I own several vehicles and have shopped there for many years. I have done so less of late due to a large increase in shipping costs on some stuff. I priced a single small item recently and they wanted almost $15 to ship it to Florida via UPS. Priority Mail would have been a lot cheaper, and they usually offer that or FedEx on most parts. If you are buying more than one part, they sometimes split orders from different warehouses (this is shown in your cart), which adds to the shipping.
As an example, I priced their comparison part shown on their website today- an oil pan gasket. They had it for $14.88 and a local parts store was $19.99. With their 5% discount & $7.57 of shipping, their price was $21.70. The parts store with 7% tax was $21.39. Another consideration is if the part is defective or doesn't fit, you have to ship it back vs. driving to the store and exchanging it.
It pays to shop, but that's why most of us are here @ FW, right?

Agree they are great. I did burn myself on some shipping from there recently...like you said the order got split and I had gone with next day delivery (needed the parts BAD) and ended up paying almost $20.00 to ship a $0.75 part that maybe weighed an ounce that I could have easily picked up anywhere locally. I wasn't paying attention to what got split up in the order. I still saved $$ on the order as a whole, but...
Your RockAuto discount code 25942271097113 will expire on January 23, 2011.
I only shop at Rock Auto if I can get the entire order all shipped from one location. The shipping cost is a deal breaker especially for heavier items. I now shop mostly at sites that has free shipping with minimum purchase requirements (usually $50 or $75).

Yea RA heard complaints about that so now if you add something to your cart it highlights any other item that can ship from the same place. So instead of getting the $2 oil filter the one for $2.25 ships from the same place and is now cheaper.
Just used coupon code 49622321768861 in the "where did you hear about us" box for a 5% discount. Found the code via google, don't know when it expires.
I always heard on here that rockauto is cheaper than Advance Auto Parts(inc %40 discount) and wanted to give it a try. Monroe CX465 Brake Pads are 27.79 vs on Amazon 31.89 But rockauto charges $11 shipping charge.
5% Off - enter code in the "How did you hear about us" line of your shopping cart 49622321768861 (exp 4/14) 51135383431335 (exp. 5/15) 51554064272968 (exp. 5/15) 51554064272968 (exp. 6/5) 53729813431335 (exp. 6/12)
Thanks OP! I tried to use the first code listed in the thread and realized it was from 2004! The August 2011 one worked. Got a new radiator for $92 delivered. Cool!

Amazon's basic free shipping can be sooooo slow though. I've never had any shipping problems with them but I end up using other sites a lot when I can't wait the ~2 weeks Amazon seems to take to me.
Advance might not stock the part, then have to add shipping on after the discount from high prices. Rock Auto will do clearance blowout prices - for example 50% off if the last box of wheel cylinders for example. Need a seal or other small part - Rock will ship it First Class mail for $2.50 Advance - flat $9 except brake drums etc. Rock Auto - fast check out, catalog has availability; Advance - lousy online buying speed.
However, I ordered coil springs shipped by Advance and did still save money. However, Rock Auto charges additional shipping for parts from multiple locations which is annoying.
Text5 days ago i place order no.12988757 at the end of the order the shipping cost was more than the order so i cancel the order and i stated the reason why today i receive an email stating thanks for your order the same order i cancel 5 days ago saying it is being ship from 3 different location please do not send this order i cancel that order. yours Frederick Lynch
