This is VERY YMMV, but I was trying to use some Target gift cards and could not get them to redeem online. I called customer support and was told this function has not been working properly. She then told me she would send me a $10 promotional code for my inconvenience. I got it by email in minutes. It might be worth a try to call and inquire about the gift card redemption not functioning.
OP take note: Codes in the first post didn't work for me... so I dug up these others. I can't recall, but I think the $5 and the 10% stacked on one order ($190). I know it didn't on the second, but that might have been due to the amount (less than $100) or the fact that I had a GC as part of the purchase.
