They are clearance items and not always national. The markdowns will vary from store to store. Some stores may be able to sell all their product at full price, while other locations will make it to 75% off. It just really depends on your store.

Weird thing, when it was 50% off the Halloween junk the multi-bags of chips were the following:
Doritos: $1.86
Cheeeeetos: $1.86

Then when it hit 75% off this happened:
Doritos: $2.50
Cheeeeetos: $.86

Original price was $3.86 or something similar on them both.......

Target can drive me crazy at times!!!!! But I do have a decent amount of Doritos from 50% off and a very large amount of Cheeeetos from 75%.

The Cheeeeetos are in the normal isle, so look for them there. Most stores I have visited lately after the 75% off hit have a large amount left still.

Even at 50% off this was cheaper than a full bag of the chips on sale. Not too bad!

Some stores even kick it in early if I remember correctly.

Also some stores throw it to salvage after a single day...and some throw it after a few hours if it was even marked 90% at all......

Need I say "YMMV", but hey, at 90% almost anything is a good deal!

snagged three bags of the cheetos as well - same as the previous poster described, the cheetos scanned at 83 cents, the doritos and funyons at 2.50. The woman who checked me out was impressed with the price, asked me if there were any left, and when I said yes she turned off her light so she could go get some for herself.

For some reason I had it in my head that today, Saturday, was the day for Halloween to go to 90%. I was a little disappointed to have my stuff still scan at 75%, but ended up checking a few endcaps on the way out and found:

~GE Remote Control Combo Pack (for Christmas lighting and decorations) was 19.99, now 1.24!~

These are in the red packaging and contain a key chain remote and 2 receivers. This is a prime example of some of the wierd pricing that you can find at Target. I mean they're just putting Christmas out...I'm sure they could have sold these at regular price for another 4 - 6 weeks.

But I'm not complaining. Strange Target pricing has allowed me to stock up on enough Cocoa Krispies, Froot Loops, Apple Jacks, Count Chocula and Boo Berry cereal to last through spring of next year (at about 60c a box).
