It's that time of year again folks! The time when "premium" alcohol giftsets hit the stores!

What are the best "free with purchase" giftsets you've seen this year? HERE'S A FANTASTIC LIST OF MANY OF THE EARLY PROMOTIONS! ( ignore the prices ) This list will help, but this thread will still rely on sharp-eyed FatWallet members to tell us which are the good deals with quality stuff.

So far the coolest I've seen is the 4 whiskey-glass set free with the purchase of a 1.75 bottle of Crown Royal (~$40).

Probably the most practical out of the box freebie is the "ice shotglass" mold that comes with a regular bottle of Stolichnaya (~$10). But you can buy those on eBay for super-cheap if you really want them without the vodka.

Any others? It's good to know about them early, since the really good giftsets sell out well in advance of the holidays.

From the list I linked above, it looks like the Jim Beam w/flask might be a good one, as well as the Ketel One w/steel shaker or Chopin w/Boston shaker. But I haven't seen those in stores yet, so I don't know about quality.

Very cool! This is one thread I will subscribe to.

I think last night I saw a Macallan's set with two rock glasses for $49. I'll have to double check.

The nearby liquor store has only been open for 6 months and they have a ton of gifts sets. The next time I go, I'll take notes.

Thanks!

I got a really nifty pair of martini glasses with a bottle of Vox. Unusual for these types of promotions, the glasses were logo-free and appreared to be several cuts above the typical thick-glassed junk you typically get with a gift set. Very light, very elegant, very cool.

Excellent excuse for buying booze at this time of year. Thanks!

Nice thread idea!

Costco has the Patron Tequila 3-bottle in a wood "display" case for $109. Good deal even when compared to Costco's usual $39-40/bottle price.

Lush.

I'll be keeping an eye on this one too.

Well, I did see the Ketel One shaker set at the store today, it's not very impressive. It's basically for 1 small drink at a time, which makes it relatively useless unless you plan on spending the holidays drinking alone.

And what's wrong with spending the holidays drinking alone?!

Stopped by the local liquor store yesterday. This is what I can remember. Sorry, don't remember sizes of the bottles.

Kahlua with light up tin (large bottle)
Baileys with tin (large bottle)
Jim Beam with free flask (1/5)
Bacardi with free flask (left over Monday Night Football promo, 1/5)
Jaegermeister with two free shot glasses (large bottle)

There were a bunch of other gifts sets that I didn't pay too much attention to because I wasn't that interested in them. But I know there was a Dewars and Tanqueray gift sets. I think they both came with glasses.

Still waiting for Captain Morgan, Smirnoff, Absolute, and Jack Daniels to put something out.

Great thread, I usually buy a few of these as gifts every year. Nothing says "Happy Hollidays" like some Jack Daniels on the rocks
