The sales on Black Friday seem to be quite the event for savvy consumers across the country.

I would like to call on all "smart shoppers" to wear a red shirt when they go out shopping the day after thanksgiving.

Sound silly? Perhaps! Sound like fun? ABSOLUTELY!

This is not strictly a FatWallet thing, I would hope that we could get bargain hunters across the internet to get behind this "free" effort to build a sense of community away from our high speed internet connections and LCD panel displays.

Here is the fun part... If while you're waiting in line, or browsing through the store... you see someone that is wearing a red shirt, and you see them notice that you are wearing a red shirt... simply say "Nice Shirt!" If the other person says "Nice Shirt!" as well... you know you've found another bargain hunter. It is just that easy!

I really want to have some fun with this.... to that end, I have ordered 3,000 Red T-Shirts to be given away at locations across the country. (The Shirts will have a small fatwallet.com logo and the words "2004 AWAY TEAM").

We will request that users make a voluntary canned good donation or a toy for the "toys for tots" campaign, depending on what the individual location desires. It will not be required, and don't expect any harassment if you show up empty handed.... Just trying to do the opportunity to do something good to help those less fortunate.

I realize that we are only able to hit a few locations throughout the country, and I had suggestions for just about every state. There will be about 375 shirts at each location.
