When I placed my order, they asked me for my schools' name and student ID number. They could verify if I am a student with that information, althought I think it's highly unlikely |

How'd you get the free 17" lcd? I dont have the option on my EPP site.
Once you go into the EPP website, click on "Dell Desktops starting at $342", and then on the left of the screen below the "Dellf" image, click on "Dimension Deal of the Week: FREE Flat Panel Upgrade on select Desktops starting at $499!" |

What does your order status say about the lcd tv? Is it considered a seperate order? |

I think you are charged right amount. The coupon stipulation is it cannot be used in conjunction with any other coupon. So obviously your 25% off coupon was considered and your $1 17" LCD TV coupon was cancelled. It just might be a case. If they refund the $650 you and others and hopefully I will be lucky.

Did you have to click through "cancel" on any options to get your deal to work? $650 is a lot to lose so I would probably call on this one (unless you are willing to risk the cost of shipping it back).
Yep I clicked cancel on all options. I think I'll wait for it to ship out then complain that I was charged 650 more then what was suppose to be charged. Even on the order confirmation the numbers do not work out. If all the coupons are added together I get about 1400. |

Thanks!
But I can't find the $100 "Early Bird" coupon on my companies EPP site. If I can figure that out I'll jump on the same config as you meiyaps. Thanks! |

did you guys use the 25% off coupon?
Even if it is right though, charging an extra $689 without notice is bs. |

Anyone crazy enough to call and ask about their order? Looks like the LCD coupon isn't sticking to the separate order created for the LCD like it was for the non-EPP orders. |

First of all, I should thank Kauai for letting me know there is a $100 off $1600 stackable early bird coupon for EPP customers.
Look what I got for $649.07:
Dimension 4700:
P4 3.0HT, 256M DDR2 RAM, 40G SATA hard drive, 16X double layer DVD burner, Free upgrade 17" LCD, 4 year warranty, free 2nd shipping. And the famous 17" LCD TV.
I would say I got my best deal I ever did. This afternoon I got a $1 LCD TV coupon. Then using this coupon I finally made this decent deal.
I start from configuring a Dimension 4700 system by clicking the link of FREE Flat Panel Upgrade at Dell EPP section.
Keep everything untouched except changing the CDROM to 16X double layer DVD burner which adds $41.
Then go to next page (SERVICES & SUPPORT), select:
"SAVE $60 (After Rebate) 4 Yr Ltd Warr, 4Yr At-Home plus Nights and Weekend [subtract $54]"
This will reduce $54.
Finally price in the cart is: $1,847.00 (system: $1,148 + LCT TV: $699), forget about the $150 instant off. It doesn't make any sense for FatWalleters.
Now coupon game starts here:
1. Using a Dellf 20% off $899 Dimension coupon, this coupon only count toward the system price.
-$1,148 X 0.2 = -$229.60.
2. Using a 100 off $1600 stackable early bird coupon, this coupon counts the total amount, not only the system amount.
-$100
3. 12% off systems priced $1600 and up with 3/4 yr At-Home service. This automatically appears if you select 4 year service as I stated above. Best of best, as long as your total amount (even including the $699 LCD TV) is above $1,600, the coupon will be applied. But this percentage off counts toward only system amount.
[$1148 - $229.60 (already taken step 1) = $919] X 12% = - $110.33 Now total amount after these coupon is $1,847.00 - (229.6 + 110.33 + 100) = $1407.07
The last step is applying my LCD TV coupon:
So the price comes out $1407.07 - $698 = $709.07. And there is also a $60 mail-in rebate. Final price would be: $649.07
Also remember to select "Free 2nd Day shipping on Dimension systems." when check out.
I went to Dell EPP site through my school's link and ceated a new Dell account using my school email, don't want to risk. After around one hour, received both Acceptance Notification and Order Confirmation in school email.
Just checked my order status when I writing this long story: the system is in production, the LCD TV is in pre-production and all the amount in order confirmation and order status at their web site are correct. I think Dell will be not able to cancel it, the order is safe enough now. ))
Good luck for all.
The problem is with the order I placed yesterday, I will have 2 17" LCD TVs, a DI3000, a DI4700, a 19" LCD and a 17" LCD on the way.
I already have a notebook and an old DI4500 desktop (P4 2.4 with 15" LCD) I am currently using. But I have only 10 fingers. Don't know how to deal with all of these. |

Could someone give a link to the $100 off coupon? The EPP site I visited has no coupon link. Thanks. |
