saw this at cc earlier today and is avail online. looks very similar to the iriver flash players with FM tuners, could be a rebadge. but $119 after $40 rebate seemed hot to me.
EDIT: apparently it's $189 now. congrats for those that got it for $119.

Nice deal for someone who want a 1GB player to be used in car and personal use. Not to mention the 1GB portable storage . 512MB mp3 USB players sell for $80 - 100 (w S/H) on eBay. They don't have an inbuilt FM tuner too.

I really need a player with expandable memory, i.e. an SD card slot. Most Rio and RCA players are expandable but they look bulky.
I've been looking for a mp3 player, especially for one that holds a fair amount of music (I'm not really interested in spending $400 for an Ipod). This looks like a great deal, but I read the same poor reviews from epinions. Does any one have personal experiences they can share regarding this product? Thanks for the post OP!

The Epinions reviews aren't great, but they're not that bad either: http://www.epinions.com/pr-SanDisk_SDMX1_1GB_MP3_Player/display_~reviews

Unfortunately, it is showing up at $139 for me though. Maybe it was just a one-day special?
You can get a muvo2 4gb for 123 at Buy.com. Check the thread.

Indeed the Muvo2 can be had but that uses a microdrive sort of thing, which is NOT solid state, which means if I keep running with it, it'll break really soon.
Flash players are simply the most durable of the bunch and at $120 or $140 its still a steal. Look at the prices of the comparable Irivers!

I was able to find this out about the microdrive inside the muvo 2.
Environment (operating) • Ambient temperature: 0 to 70 °C (70 °C top cover temperature) • Relative humidity (non-condensing): 8 to 90% • Max. wet bulb (non-condensing): 29.4 °C • Shock (half sine wave): 200 G / 2 ms • Random vibration (RMS): 0.67 G (5 - 500 Hz) • Vibration (swept sine): 1.0 G (0 - Peak)
Can someone interpret this data? If you are running and holding the player in your hand or attached to your waist, how big of a force would the player experience?

Agreed. This was the reason I went with the Sandisk also. I was tempted by the Muvo2, but I based my decision on partly on being solid state, as well as the size/weight. It's tiny!

I have this sandisk player and I like it. I also have a 40GB ipod which is sometimes too big for me to carry around but the sandisk is great. Also it has built in voice recorder as bonus. The one thing that I need to buy for this thing is rechargable AAA batteries

I have the MIR and it says 11/25-11/27
If anyone bought it thinking it was 140 and the rebate wasn't showing up for whatever reason, you can PM me and I will send you the copy I have
