In the reviews Amazon lists, there seems to be a complaint from a few people that the soft sateen sheen the sheets have when you first take them out of the package disappears once you wash them, and the sheets become a little rough. Did you find this to be true? I've never had this kind of problem with Wamsutta before, but I figure it's worth asking the question before I go and buy 4 or 5 sets...
Um. I don't know about these sheets specifically.. but you are supposed to wash sheets as soon as you get them to remove any sizing and latent dye. I always wash my sheets straight from the packages and they are always softer afterwards. |

Did you first have to call Amazon and let them know about the credit?

bought these for my kids a few months ago at $7.99/twin set, they have been washed a dozen times each, still soft and very silky....I want them for my king bed now....these wash and dry like a dream too, very thin because of the high count and silken thread...I can do four sets in one wash and dry easily...a HUGE plus for me. |

We bought several sets back in August -- I did notice that the "sheen" they have right out of the package diminished after washing, except on one set of med. blue sheets, it seemed to retain the 'shimmer' more than the other sheets for some reason -- but turning "rough"? No way! They are as soft as can be after numerous washings, we absolutely love these sheets! |

Umm, is it just me or do they have stock of 1 of each of either fitted or flat sheets, but then not the other one in Queen Size? |

I've been using mine for several months now and, like most cotton sheets, they get softer with a bit of use.
It's kind of gross, but I'm thinking those people are complaining that the chemical sizing treatment washes out of the sheets and they lose that slippery/crunchy/starchy feel that sheets have right-out-of-the-package. Strange since this, of course, is the reason all sheets need to be washed BEFORE use. |

The pillowcases are now $9.99 if that's cheap enough to entice anyone to complete a set.
