Tracfone is the cheapest of any prepaid service. All because of there referral program. If they dumped that then I would probably be looking elsewhere. Depending on how much you use your phone, you don't ever have to buy cards/airtime with tracfone as long as you do referrals now and then. Real easy to do using eBay. I been with them for 2 yrs and only once did I buy an airtime card. I have bought different phones during that time to get the feel of different models but thats it. Tracfone customer service stinks compared to others but I feel its there referral program and great coverage that gives them most of there customers. |

cak144 said:Has anyone been successful in transferring minutes from one Tracfone to another Tracfone recently? I did this for years -- getting a new phone every year as well as referral minutes and then transferring the minutes from the old phone to the new phone. When I tried to do this again back in February 2004, I was told that they would no longer do this unless the old phone was defective.
I just bought 2 family members the Tracfone Motorola v60i last week. I did the refer a friend on both of them. I called Tracfone this week and tranferred their remaining minutes and the rest of their year activation with no problems. |

How do you send a referral? I can't find it on their site. |

I found the link in the Specials section. But the email that they send is only good for one day instead of 30. |
