Enclose Proof of ownership from one of the qualifying products listed. Proof of ownership is the original front cover of the User’s Manual, software activation email, copy of receipt, copy of UPC, copy of the CD with serial number. Receive a $20 rebate when you purchase Nero 12 to upgrade one of the following products: Adobe® Premiere® Elements Cyberlink Media Suite, PowerDirector Corel VideoStudio® Pinnacle Studio roxio Creator Sony Vegas™ Movie Studio Nero 7 and later
I really wish they would learn how to use the words "and" and "or."
I think they changed it recently. Last week the correct form was linked.
The Smith Micro Check It products are MMAR w/ purchase of tax software but tax software is "available for pre-order" which means it won't be on same invoice.

I couldn't agree more. They have not paid a single one of my rebates. They all say "under review". I chat with them weekly and they give me the same nonsense about waiting one more week while they investigate.
Elric, If it's possible could you separate those off the list. Unfortunately they are not all together alphabetically like McAfee so it might be too much work for you.

One quick email with all of my tracking numbers always results in their validation 48 hours later. (note that I wait until the rebate is 12 weeks out from its postmark date)
It's a hassle, but the Nova/Avanquest products deserve to be in the list until people actually fail to receive their rebates altogether. A warning about Avanquest/Nova/Berlitz rebates would be acceptable, though.

I'm not receiving any of my Nova/Avanquest rebates no matter how many times I contact them. They are all stuck in "being reviewed" status. I will never do another Nova or Avanquest rebate again unless it's from Office Depot (since those rebates go to Young America and those are not problematic).
I might be a glutton for punishment, but I just mailed in 2 rebates (for a Merax product and a PPA product from the Thanksgiving FAR bonazna) to City of Industry, CA. Has anyone actually received a rebate from there? The amounts are small, but I plan on contacting Fry's if I don't receive the rebates within 12 weeks.
Also, there was a Rhino product that had a rebate with a postmark deadline within 7 days of purchase. I have never seen a rebate with such a short timeframe to send in. Anyway, I didn't receive the order until 9 days after I ordered it, so it was already too late to submit the rebate. I will contact Fry's about that one too.
In addition, if you bought any Inland/NuGiant products, you might find that some of the products share the same rebate offer, and the limit on the rebate is 1 per household (not 1 per SKU).
Has anyone done the Avanquest Web Easy Professional 8 rebates? There are 2 rebate, but both require sending in the box top. Interestingly, neither one requires the UPC. I will try contacting them, but anyone have any ideas about what they want, or already spoken to them?

I stopped doing Avanquest rebates because the rebate checks are never sent. Lots of people on here have had the same experience.
The Competitor/Upgrade Proof of Ownership must be a photocopy of the 1st page of the user guide or CD/DVD label. Qualifying competitive/Upgrade products must be one of: A previous version of the Serif product being purchased, Adobe Photoshop CS5, Microsoft Publisher, Broderbund The Print Shop 23 Deluxe.

(Fry's listed it as back ordered.) I called the number listed on the rebate form last Thursday (12/6), and explained why I missed the deadline. The woman I spoke with said to submit my rebate, that it would be honored. I mailed it on Friday and included a note summarizing my phone conversation. We shall see.

Fry's responded back to me and said that they will issue a $5.00 refund to my credit card since I won't be eligible for the rebate. If your rebate gets rejected, you will definitely get the money back from Fry's if you contact them. Make sure to keep the documentation that shows when you received the package to prove that you got it after the rebate deadline.

I had actually emailed Frys initially, a few days before the rebate deadline and before the order with the Rhino item had shipped. I said that the item obviously wouldn't make it to me in time, that I didn't want to cancel the order, what were my options? The next day I got an email thanking me for shopping with Fry's and that my order had shipped. I replied that I was glad to know that, but it didn't answer my question and restated my problem. No response.
Anyhow, if the company paying the rebate rejects my submission, I will contact Fry's. Thanks again for the info.
Had quite a shock this week when I ordered stuff from frys.com with Ultra Saver shipping, and they actually posted the tracking #. Now, they did not include a link, but http://www.ups-mi.net/packageID/ works fine! Finally!!!
Did anyone submit rebates for Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete from Black Friday? I noticed that neither of the forms asks for the UPC, copy or original. Wanted to make sure that they were not getting rejected for lack of UPC.

The presubmission form for the $35 rebate lists "Copy or Original UPC" among the requirements, so I sent a copy of the UPC (although it's possible it was referring to the UPC-as proof-of-previous-ownership). Both of my submissions have been approved.

I sent a copy of the UPC for the $35 Upgrade and was rejected for not having original proof of purchase.

I am looking at 12-27865, which is the $45 non-upgrade, and on the pre-submission form (before I enter my info at rebateshq), it only asks for: - Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete 5 Device Product on Receipt - Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete 5 Device Store Receipt
For 12-27864, which is the $35 upgrade, it asks for
- Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete Proof of Previous Ownership - Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete Store Receipt
This is consistent with what I saw when I generated and printed the forms (which I have at home).

The presubmission form I generated from Rebateshq for 12-27864 had the following:
Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete Copy or Original UPC Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete Proof of Previous Ownership Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete Store Receipt
The PDF of 12-27864 I have from Frys states nothing about the product UPC, but does say an original UPC from a competitive product or previous Webroot product is required as POP. I honestly can't remember if I just absent mindedly threw in a copy of a Norton Disk along with a copy of the current Webroot Complete. Anyway, I chatted, and they told me I needed a receipt, copy or original UPC for the current product, and an original disk or first page of a manual for a competitive product. Those aren't even the requirements! But, since I am a valued customer...

I registered those rebates just 2-3 days ago and it did not list the requirement of a copy of UPC either.

If they did in fact want an original UPC (which I would have missed if not for the posting here, thanks), I can see it being rejected for that.
I sent in an original Norton UPC for the upgrade, along with photocopies of the Webroot UPC for both rebates.
NOTE: The envelope must be postmarked no later than January 4, 2013. (NOT DELIVERY DATE)
Also, shipping is $5.99 but if you get some of the FAR software, you can get Ultra Saver for free, maybe even ground.
BTW, does Frys ever send their stuff to the shipper the same day it allegedly shipped? I placed an order with UPS Ground shipping over the weekend, and while it says it shipped, it has not been scanned by UPS yet. Same thing happened the last time I did something with UPS shipping from them, and it ended up taking a day longer than it should have.
For the hornettek rebates make sure you follow their directions and copy your submission. Read to see if they ask for the original invoice b/c they will deny you on such little things. It took me months to get my hornettek after their sorry excuse of customer support finally gave in.
