Thanx OP, I have been monitoring this unit for a while on their site hoping to get it when it goes low. I was grilling myself for not buying it at 329.99 last week, the following day I wanted to order and it showed as $350. Good thing I held out, I ordered about 2 hours ago and even though it was advertised $299(at that time) when I added to cart it showed $329.99, so I called in and was able to get it at the lower price over the phone. Hot. |

Looks pretty good for the price, it has touch screen. Don't know the price in local fry's.
Off topic, anybody knows a good website that reviews all the GPS? like the DPreview for digital camera? Thanks |

For those of you that have a small laptop and no need to have the GPS mounted on the windshield in front of you, check out the Garmin GPS 18 USB model for about $100. Feature wise, it's much better. I have one and I love it. |

It is beyond sanity to take a bulky laptop with you in the car and try to paddle around with that.

I tried calling for a 299 adjustment but no dice. "Sorry sir, there's nothing we can do." And I used my nicest voice to boot! Come back to me 299, come back ....
For a long review of the iCN510, try: http://www.pocketgps.co.uk/navman-icn510-review.php |

Not sure what we're supposed to be looking at on that GPS info site. Are you saying this is not a good model for car driving? I'm not sure cause I didn't see this model in their list that they had reviews and stuff on.
ALSO: Do I need anything additional for this? IE maps of the US or anything? I'm not very familiar with how these work? Any help? |

Did everyone abandon this thread after the price went up a little? |

I have a Garmin Quest and will have this one shortly. I am not sure which I will keep. The Quest was just south of $500 and I like it alot. Will have to compare them to see which to keep and which to Fleabay! Just rented a Hertz and they gave me the magellan option for free. Hung my quest on the windshield and compared them side by side. Just as accurate and I think a bit easier to read. The hertz version allowed me to have her speak in French to me, but that's just a personal quirk!

How well the Navman iCN510 compares to the Garmin 2610 model besides the size issue? I am debating between the 2. |

Hopping that it will be like the Amazon deal with MS OneNote software where it was changing price from $42.98 to $49.99 to $78.99 to $89.99 and where everyelse the dang thing would go!
got my fingers crossed!

"no WAAS?" What is that? You guys think this will go OOS before the price gets a chance to drop back down? If I ordered one now and the price did drop how can I get the better price? Someone suggested ordering another and returning this one, but it says Limit one so how could you order another? |

Can someone summarize how this works and if I'll need anything to go with it? |

Thanks Thepowerpig, as sarcastic as that was intended to be, it was actually helpful. I just wasn't sure if you needed to buy your own mapping software or anything. I know their are some GPS type units that you do that with.
BTW: Price dropped to 299.99 NOW at 11 PM Dec 31. It shows at 329.99 But when you add it to cart it drops to 299.99 |

With this unit, do you input an address for the to and from locations, or do you sort of have to click and zoom on a map to a location sort of and then go with that, if that makes any sense. |
