Saw this at my local OD today. Price on the shelf was $999 and there is a $30 rebate good through June 05 bringing it down to $969. Don't see it anywhere on the OD website, so I suppose its B&M only. I bought this model two weeks ago at a different OD when I found the display model marked down to $919. At that time, they had a $150 MIR plus the $30 rebate. The manager added the 2 year extended warranty for an extra $100. I know you can spend less for a lesser machine, but I am very happy with this puppy!
Here are some specs: 1.4 GHz Pentium M 710, 512MB, 60GB, DVD+RW/CD-RW, Windows XP, 14" TFT, 400MHz BUS, 1MB L2 cache

I have Compaq Presario in title and it is a 14" widescreen (WXGA)with a built-in 6-in-1 card reader for reading memory cards from digital cameras, PDA's and the like; JBL Pro Performance Internal speakers; Network Connection: Intel PRO/Wireless 2200 802.11B/G WLAN
It does have integrated video, though...the only weak point IMO.
I just finished a chat session with an HP "Tech Expert" and he told me the v2030us has 1MB L2 cache. Funny thing though, when I do a Yahoo search for the v2030us, half the sites say it has 2MB and the other half say 1MB.

I just ordered this laptop. pretty satisfied so far. It's a centrino laptop, which brings the biggest advantage over other regular laptops -- more battery life and enhanced wi-fi reception. Specs: Compaq Presario V2030, Intel Pentium M 1.5GHz Processor, 64K L1 Cache, 2MB L2 Cache, 512MB DDR SDRAM (32MB occupied by shared Video Memory), Fujisu 80GB Hard Drive, Pioneer DVR-K14 DVD+-RW/CD-RW Combo Drive, 802.11g Wireless, 56K Modem(Intel PRO 2200BG), 10/100 NIC, 15.4" WXGA Display, Microsoft Windows XP Home, Refurbished
