The coupon works... I think its looking for >500 BEFORE discount... items sitting in my cart for 369.01 right now... AND free shipping!
I'd grab either the microfiber case [.14 difference than the CD-R's] or the "USB Travel Sync Cable for Dell Axim X50/X50v Handhelds"... those seem more useful than "pocket cd-rs" andI verified the coup works w/ the travel/sync cable...

any other suggestions on how to take it from 424 to 500, before discounts?
I don't really know if I want to drop 4 bills either, but this is a flipping hot deal. eBay price is 400-425, so, you are not going to turn for a buck, but you still got the free market beat by $20.

"Excluding Select Dell DJs, Dell Projectors, Dell Plasma Tvs, Dell Axims and Dell printers" can't use it with the axim, didn't take it for me. total was $514 with usb cradle/sync cable upgrade

Does this configuration come with a cradle? It is not listed but sometimes the product description is incomplete. I know this pre-configured model was part of a past deal, can anyone who participated in the past deal ( 3 weeks ago ) comment on the inclusion of a cradle.
Thanks,

I edited my post to reflect that I'd choose something other than the pocket cdrs. Not like it actually matters... looks like Dell killed the coupon according to other posts...

this pda rocks! i got one for 374 using a 25% coupon, and I don't know how I lived without it. The screen is unbeleivable and the speed is awesome. The battery life is so-so, so maybe you'd want to bump it up by adding the longer lasting battery. I have to recharge daily, but then again I use the wi-fi a lot. So I get about 5-6 hours of usage out of it, with wi-fi being used half of the time.

You certainly don't get 5-6 hours using wifi half the time. I can't think of any time I ever got 5 hours, doing even low-power tasks.

I agree about the screen quality and battery life; but I disagree about the speed. It is ok. I upgraded from Axim X5 and it was noticeably faster then X50v. Even though X5 was 400Mhz and this one is 624Mhz! If this is your first PDA you will think it is very fast. If you used others before you will notice that it is slower. Nevertheless, this is a great price so if you need a PDA you should definitely pick this one up!
EDIT: Yea, as WilliamG noted - the 5-6 hours with wi-fi seems way too high. With wi-fi always on, I can hardly get 2 - 3 hours.

i'm going to be using this for gps driving direction (in case i get stuck in traffic during my 200 miles daily commute and need to take the side roads). anyone has suggestion on which gps addon module to get? i'm leaning toward bluetooth ones since that would keep my cf slot free for other use
there's no USB cradle included. and if you go through the site instead of the link in this thread, then you'll end up with no working coupon.

I have the same question.
After a brief research on Dell X50v, seems Dell has developed it's own GPS locator for X50v using bluetooth, Link, and you can also get similar bluetooth enabled GPS locator from Pharos, like this one.
Also Pharos has another CF GPS locator working good on Dell Axim X5, but I don't know if it fits this PDA.
Edit: All Pharos GPS are compatible with MS streets & trips pocket version, while Dell's not.

wish there was some certainty on the cradle. Why would this be slower than the x5? Does the extended battery bulge as in a 700m laptop?

Did you get your as a preconfigured model like the one mentioned in this deal? Did it come with a cradle? If it is not too much trouble, is it possible to go back to your order info and check if a cradle was listed as an accessory in your order and we can put this cradle confusion to rest.
Thanks

I am stuck between the x50v and the ipaq hx2755...I am using it mostly for business so no need for any fancy games or whatever. I will randomly use it for gps though. Think this would be a smart pick?

It now seems to be dead. Followed OP's link and when I tried to add it to cart, it gave me a error message saying this product is now unavailable.
