Just tried it, it's working for me...make sure you enter the ESN code for the phone, then click continue. The updated price should show on the next screen.

it was a bit confusing, but a good deal, although you didn't mention sales tax which sucks
the timing was great, mine needed this in two weeks anyway, so thanks

I love the Tracfone concept, and their wide coverage, but I hate buying minutes and having the website screw up applying the minutes and being told there's nothing they can do at their end. I hate getting coupons for bonus minutes that they later won't honor because they decided to sell minutes in some different configuration. I hate their horrible call center where I can hardly understand anything that the CSR is telling me over the background noise.
This was all Summer of '04. Have things gotten better? I might give them a try again as the only thing I hate worse than Tracfone is all the other cell phone companies.

Sorry, where do you enter the ESN code? Did not see it on the web page.
Did you select the phone with 1 year card?
Can somebody give me a link? What is the zip code that you use? Thank you!

Nice deal! The web site seems to be stalling. It took 4 trys to complete purchase.
We're sorry, we cannot process your transaction at this time. Please try again later.

direct link to the page to enter the code is https://www.tracfone.com/purchase_airtime.jsp?task=buyairtime&fromPopup=true
This deal only works if you already have a Tracfone phone. You are only buying the minutes, not the phone + the minutes.

Great deal OP! Question, can I buy this airtime now and add the minutes to the phone at a later date? I want to buy this for a relative who lives in another state that I will see next month. I know they will want me to add the minutes to the phone at that time...Thanks!

I'm not sure. I have 2 tracfones that will expire in September or so. I'm hoping the same thing. Maybe others that already pulled the trigger can chime in.

Thanks OP, this'll go great with the $19.50 clearance Tracfones from Staples!

I know that the last time I ordered a one year (double minute) pre-paid card, they just sent a code via email, rather than a physical card in the mail. I don't remeber if it had an expiration date though. Sorry.

How can you guys carry a cell phone and limit yourself to 150 minutea year? If I have one, I tend to use it. I get 1050 anytime minutes a monthplus unlimited incoming and mobile to mobile, of course it is $50 a MONTH but it would drive me crazy to only use 150 minutes a year. Not a bad deal if that is your pattern though.

You're right. It's only a deal for very light users.

TracFone Rollover: Add airtime before your due date and your remaining minutes and service days will rollover and be added to your phone, to a maximun of 120 days with any combination of regular airtime cards or 730 days with any combination of annual plan cards

I really hate cell phones, but I keep a tracfone in the car in case of emergencies. I don't like the long contracts, credit checks and monthly bill of the other services. This is a very good deal for people like me. T-Mobile isn't available in my area and tracfone has good nationwide coverage. Just my two cents.

Hot! Usually they have other codes to so you get even more minutes with a year card. That would make it even hotter.

I am wondering about this too. Will this work?

who wants to spend an hour going through that mess? can't you do a better job to show us where the deal is?
It's right in the FIRST POST of the page that I linked to (AND on the first updated page!). I didn't think it would be THAT tough to find.
To quote part of that post: " Nokia 1100 (SKU 526949) and Motorolla TFV-120-T (SKU 507741) Tracfones both now scanning at $19.50~ These are worth it just for the free 200 minutes you can get by referring yourself (not to mention extra batteries). A 200 minute card would normally cost $49.99. ~Tracfone Motorolla V60 (SKU 566573) now $40.50~"

you click on print topic, then hit control-F, to bring up search, type in what you are looking for.

I think the website only allows you to enter 1 promo code so I'm not sure this will work.

If there is a promotion code for getting extra minutes when you add the new 150 min/1 year card. Then peobably when you redeem the card, you can get the extra minutes.
The code in OP's post is for getting the card and the other code is for redeeming minutes. Just my thought, I haven't tried.
Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for sharing. I too use this only for emergencies but minutes are easy to come by anyways by self referring and buying a refurb phone with minutes. Anyhow I was able to purchase the minutes but when you redeem it there is no opportunity to enter any additional codes for the free 100 minutes, but again a great deal. Thanks

I bought the minutes last night, and when it got to the part where you enter your codes on the phone, I had to go get my phone. When I got back to my screen the session had timed out. Is there some way I can recover the session? I sent a message to customer service explaining my situation, but I haven't heard back from them.

Yeah, not just motor-mouths have cellphones! I had a tracfone for 14 months and it was great. I still made lots of calls to friends and family and AAA for towing. I still had 30 min left when it expired. Not bad for $5/month.
I made a big booboo when I switched to ATT because I became enamoured with a cool video/camera phone. I ended up paying $40/month while only using 10 min. Should've stuck with Tracfone!
dairymtu said: i tried but doesnt work. after it dials and nobody picks up the phone, it will attempt to let u leave a msg. i press # and then password but doesnt work. strange dont know yI am having the same problem. Their CSRs don't really have a clue, and finally concluded that perhaps it couldn't be done with my 1100. Anyone else experience this? This would be a deal killer for me...every other tracfone did this fine, with no problems.
