is the leadtek a good card? i got a Dell 4700 that gets hot quite frequently and gets real loud with my current GF3Ti...i wonder if this GT card will generate too much heat...
also can the pipelines on this card be unlocked to run like a 6800?

Isn't this a great deal? I'm suprised there hasn't been more talk... Is the 6800 better at $20 more?

Yes and yes. This is a good deal, but I'd go with the PNY 6800 for $20 difference. I have this card (new egg refurb) and it's quite nice...
Sli 6600gt fits in between x800xt and 6800 ultra while 6800gt/ultra SLi defeats everythingYou need to reverse the positions for x800pro and 6800nu - I've owned several of both and the x800pro easily beats the 6800nu. It has 256MB and overclocks nicely. I have one here on my work bench right now - no luck unlocking the last pipe quad but, even so, it's running the xt pe bios (520/1080) and scores 5249 in 3dmark05.
And no, I'm not an ATI fanboy. I use both.
Back to the deal - title needs to be updated - it's $154.50 shipped now.
back to 146 AR + 3.50 shipping - Father's day special

What about this XFX 6600 GT at Buy.com found here.?
I'm new to video cards. People seem to like the Nvidia 6600 GT chip. Right? Buy has it for $135 AR.
