Buy.com has the Kingston Elite Pro 2 GB CompactFlash Card for 129.95 with 2 rebates ($20 and $30).

2 GB Link

use Buy.com 6% off coupon found here:

buy.com 6% link

129.95 -6% - $50 = 72.15

cheapest I've seen.

Seems pretty hot to me!

Nice find, OP. Thanks!

Nice price, how are Buy.com rebates? and Kingston for that matter.

Wow... intensely hot!

fact = this deal is HOT!

both are good IMO.

Nice deal! But not for the rebate averse

hot deal. thanks OP

In for one... would have bought 2 but one of the rebates (the one for $30) has a limit of one product. The $20 rebate has limit of two.

Thanks OP!

Thanks for the deal OP.
I got a 10% off coupon in my e-mail and used that

$129.95 - $13 (10% off Coupon) - 2% FW CashBack - $50 = $64.61

I've always recieved all my Kingston Rebates.
And I guess Buy.com is pretty reliable too.

Nice Deal!!

BTW, here is the 10% coupon link if anyone wants to try their luck with it:
Buy.com 10% Off Coupon

Note that the fine print says the coupon is only valid for those who got it in the mail. But others on this forum have reported some luck in using such coupons.

Good Luck.

What's difference between Elite Pro and other CFs?

Elite pro is somewhat high-speed... approximately 50X. There are faster cards out there, but this one is not slow by any means.

I bought one since I know my Canon 20D will appreciate it (most other digital cams don't operate any faster with high-speed CF cards)

Thanks! Grabbed one - of course I had a 10% off coupon that Buy.com sent me ... so pretty sweet.

Use starclubrewards.com 20% . Wish they will give that 20% cash earning.

Can my canon S1 appreciate this?

elite pro is better quality memory ie read/write is faster. Usually only makes a difference in cameras that are 5 megapixels and higher and can handle faster read write speeds although this card will be faster if you are downloading by reader to your computer than regular card so that may be a benefit. I would say the difference in price between this card and a regular card is worth it at this price point 2 gigs for $66 if have 10% coupon. Nice solid deal and rebates should not be a big deal.

Anyone knows if Buy.com still has pricematch?
outpost is selling it for 99.99 w/o rebate

Green for you, OP

Pretty good except tax charged (5% for MD).
I used 10% coupon and AR with tax is around $70. Still hot!!

do you guys actually buy it? or just calculate the 'hot' price?
how come I can't place order? when I press 'check out' I got http error

Go here to see how this card performs with your camera. I have a Canon Rebel XT. Although it's not towards the top of the list, for this price I'm in for one.

Are you sure about that? I've gotten Ebates credit many times when using coupons. All I do is add the item to cart, add coupon to cart, then go through Ebates. Cookies keeps the item and coupon in the cart when I go through Ebates, and the transaction (and associated 2%) shows up within a week or so in my account. Even better, the credit I get is always 2% of the "before coupon" price.

Grabbed one, great deal, thanks OP.

I noticed on Buy.com homepage. Sales rank for this card has gone up 62,800% since yesterday to 1 in Computers and software.

Thanks OP.

Make sure you check on your rebates though. Mine got denied from the USB traveler/Sandisk Cruzer a few weeks ago for sales receipt.

Of course, doesn't matter that I sent the web receipt and the packing slip

WRONG! You just have to know how to do it. First, add the item to your cart. Then follow the coupon link and add it to your cart. Close the window. Then go through the FatCash link to your Buy.com cart and checkout like normal to complete the transaction.

Works everytime.
