since they are seem more useful for me, but IMHO $36 after GC is a pretty good buy for this water jet, you will find out how much stuffs still left in yout teeth after you've brushed.
pigbaby said: There is $5 waterpik rebate on the box of WP-72. Expire 9/1/05, may also valid for WP-60, WP-65, and WP-70. Thanks OP! Green for you.
Details please: you mean on the box from a unit you purchased from Amazon, or someplace else? Is it one of those little peel-off coupons? (OP: was there one on your box?)
Yes, it come as label attach on the box. I receive my shipping today. $5 rebate was a surprise. Will see how reliable is it. Some customers complain on it.
I want to buy a product like this, but the reviews there on Amazon are terrible.
I can't remember the last time I saw so many consistently bad reviews on the quality of a product.

This thing works miracles. I introduced it to my uncle. He had severe bad breath for years and now it's finally gone. His gums used to bleed whenever he eats apples. After a week with waterpik, his gums no longer bleeds eating apples.

Always appreciate a professional's opinion on these deals, kine. SO...do these things really accomplish anything more than flossing does? And is it a good idea or bad idea to add an antiseptic rinse to the fluid in these things, or just overkill?

This price is not the slick. The wp-72 is sold for 40 normally and this is not the first time i have seen a 5 dollar rebate with it. Not hot at all.

and water piks are a million times better than floss, its hard to believe anyone would prefer the primitive method of moving a piece of string between your teeth for an obviously much quicker and thorough method of spraying it with water. I recommend the hydrofloss while the magnets may not do anything it has a very powerful spray. They are pretty expensive though, they go for eBay for 65. I was able to get a used one off there for 11 plus 8 shipping and then i bought a new nozzle.

If you do not floss regularly because of either laziness or its difficulty, then using a waterPik would be good. But it is unnecessary if you do floss daily.

Well from everyday experience people who only floss have much healthier gums, shallower pockets, and less bleeding than people who use waterpiks. The objective of flossing is not to take all the plaque and bacteria out of the pocket but to break-up the plaque. Logically what would be better a jet of water or the actual physical movement of the floss. Although, I'm just a dentist what do I know.

The reliability of this thing seems pretty poor from the reviews. I don't think a Waterpick can replace flossing. Likewise, flossing can't replace a Waterpick. A Waterpick can get in the cracks and crevices of teeth where flossing doesn't work. Flossing can dislodge things jammed between teeth that a Waterpick will just bounce off of. I have a battery powered Panasonic Portable Water Irrigator that I'm very happy with.
Note that Amazon has this on sale as part of today's Friday Sale for $37.99. If you bought one in August, email them and they will probably refund the difference. (Hopefully that won't jeopardize getting the GC---I tend to doubt it).
