eToys has a great low price on the compact Kobra electric scooter at just $99.99 with free shipping. Regularly $225.00, this scooter features a 450-watt motor, top speed of 15 MPH, eight-inch black street tires with puncture-resistant tubes, three-finger BMX-style brakes, a smooth twist throttle, and a seat kit with basket. Free shipping on this item is significant, and it probably will not last long at this price.
Looks like this scooter might be 9" high, so probably something for a kid only, but still a great deal. Here is a coupon i found for $5 off if you use your visa! for a total of 94.99!
$5 off one order of $40 or more at eToys when you pay with your Visa® card. Excludes Gift Cards, video game consoles, and select electronics To redeem click the link below and enter promotional code VISAET5 in your Shop Cart and your discount will appear during checkout. Expires 02/28/2006

the manual said it is better to charge the battery to full after every time usage, is that normal for the electrical scooter? how many times the battery can be charged? I am debating this and toysRus blackfriday one (I zip 130 49.99$), that one can be charged 200 times. and what's the weight of this one? heavy? the package is 50 pounds.
can a fat 180lb guy ride across college campus on this? i'm talking function not the people laughing at me.

I'm a skinny 160 lb guy and I wouldn't use one, you probably could use it, the weight limit on these are usually 200+ lbs. I wonder where they are legal to ride, I was gonna buy a larger electric scooter more like a Vespa, but I wasn't sure what cities considered them legal.
well i bought one, seemed like a good deal, now to build the courage to ride this. maybe i'll wear my bright red $9 velour suit from Blair that i haven't had the balls to wear either. but hey, pimpn aint ez

got one for camping! thanks op! and thanks ibanez16 for saving me $5 bucks!
Got the scooters today! They are labeled Schwinn X1000 and not Cobra. Seem to be same specs., but I will do more research. Label shows "Currie Industries" so I am sure they are one and the same. At least the color was right(blue).

FWIW, 450W @ 90% transfer efficiency with a 200-210# rider means a top speed of about 3-4mph going up a steep hill or driveway (18%-20% grade). Also looks like about 30 minutes maximum of drive time between charges. I'd consider it, but I think the last hill to my house is about 19% grade, and I'm not sure I could balance at 3mph.
(hey, and what's with the 180# fat guy comment? Jeez, I'm pushing 210, and I might be a little softer than I was as a youngster, but I'm not quite ready to be "fat"!)

my twin boys are about a buck apiece, so they shouldn't have any problems
Got a cancellation notice too. I think most people got one.
I think that when a vendor cancells they should have to pay the customer 15% cancellation fee, just like we would get stuck with a re-stocking fee if we didnt want the item.

Is it intentional? My scooter arrived broken at exactly the same place: where the cart sits on. What do we do? its like $40 to ship it back to eToys.
