Sorry if this is a repost.

My HomeDepot (Norfolk, VA) has stacks of them for $9.97 each this morning. There is just the drill with ONE battery plus the charger & adapter, NO CASE!

WorkForce 18V Cordless Drill with Keyless Chuck
HD Sku #441-589
UPC 820909100010

This should be a good enough for some occasionally use around the house or make a nice (cheapo) Christmas gift. It's even better deal than the $30 drill from Sears, IMHO. At this price you can even buy 2 for some spare battery ! (That 's what I did.)

I can't locate this item on the website. Not sure it's nationwide though so YMMV.

Happy finding.

Thanks OP...Looks like a hot deal to me if nationwide....will check it out later today and update...HD had a big ad in today's paper but this was not listed.

Any one can confirm this? like to buy a $10 drill

They dont carry this at my H.D.

None in Walker, Alpine Michigan 49544

Going to check out HD in my area. I'd like to have a $10 drill too.

It appears to be nation wide deal, the near by HD in SoCal has it for $9.97

I violated rule #1, but I called the local Home Depot that someone already confirmed is out (Waukegan, IL). They said that the HD's in Chicago's far north suburbs are all out, but the computer shows they have quantities on order. This means that if your Home Depot is out now, they might still get some in.

Good Luck.

calling is prolly not bad on this one. its not a price mistake, and I can't imagine employees who are up to their necks in HW and drills would go apesit over a cheap drill anyways.
you do run the risk of alerting that one employee that will buy out the rest for gifts or something.

The battery and charger alone are worth that. I may pick one up just for the spare battery.

My HD has 60 of 'em. Going to get it now.

Anybody know if it's a variable speed?

Baton Rouge, LA has 70 on hand and 10 on order.

Cool, I'm going to the Norfolk HD on the way home. Nice coincidence that I happen to live nearby!

Does this stack with the 25% off hand tools sale they are having? (or is that only for non-power tools?)

So, just because your HD doesn't carry them, you give the OP a negative..

Just picked up two at my local HD. They had em on the top rafters/shelf. The guy had to get the big ladder to bring 'em down.

None in Hermitage, TN. They've never even heard of the brand, but I did meet a guy that restores early Mustangs and does bodywork, so it wasn't a waste of gas...

HOT! 3 of these for the price of (1) Sears BF 18v drill

Someone post one on eBay for sale so we can what it looks like

Hmm 18v... If Alpine doesn't have them maybe one of the others in the area does. I'll check it out later tonight.

Tough to say, cause you've got nothing in there for perspective, but that thing looks really small.

thank you for the pictures.

Grandville doesnt have them either... Both had really no clue about them..

THx for the pics above

great deal.. green for u.

I would like to add that the battery compartment is made out of a cheap/flimsy plastic. You drop that thing, and it's going to shatter like crazy. In fact, one of the drills I bought has a battery pack that's already cracked...I'll take it back tomorrow. And the bits that come with it are rather...meh as far as build quality goes.

Other than that, you can't really go wrong for $10

1749 Newman Rd
Okemos, MI 48864

Has 50 in stock for $9.97

Store says they will put them in shelf on wednesday only... looks like ad is coming.. Cincinnati, OH

They are really making some cheap cr@p now. I bet this thing won't last 3 months. Suckers....

I don't see how they can make these for $10.00, I wondered if paying $40.00 was too little on the BF deal at Lowes. But $10.00 makes it worth trying out.

Those that purchased one or more...
Do you think a couple of these might last to build a deck???

Do you have to crack up the rubberbands inside the unit??
It looks like a heat gun

I found them at the HD by Midway airport in Chicago. Took them about an hour to locate them. They were on the high shelves with a sticker that said Black Friday on them. Maybe they arrived late.

thanks op

Interesting - that similar product you show advertises the ability to drill up to 25 1 inch holes on a single charge. Depending on the material you're drilling into, my Dewalt could do that in a minute, and still run for another hour or more. That's got to be the weakest battery I've ever heard of. I was going to grab a couple of these just to throw on a shelf, but I hadn't considered that the batteries could be that bad.

Went there and saw them.
I think I'll pass but is definitely a great deal for homeowners.
Looks like that harbor freight stuff.

I work at Home Depot These things are crap. put a couple extra dollars in and buy somthing a little better.

Just went to my local HDs and they still had them in the racks. They had 50 onhand but would not pull them down. Management said they were for another BF deal on 12-16. There is supposed to be a 1 or 2 day special ad come out on 12-14. They should be available on 12-15 they said. I fought tooth and nail to get some but they only ended up selling me one on a "will call" to be picked up on the 15th.

While I was looking in the racks I noticed a special multipack of flashlights that were also marked Black Friday.

Keep your eyes peeled for that ad!

Yup, I know. I bought a 18v for $8.95 from Freight Tools and it was a waste of money. I rather buy a good used drill then a new crappy one.
